The funniest panel in the entire strip is the one where Calvin, butt-naked, opens the bathroom door while yelling “Hobbes! C’mere!”

The whole composition of Calvin’s butt, his expression (the one on his face), and the words of the shout, always has me rolling in amused mirth.

It’s perfect.

Human germs, especially from unwashed kids, kill aquarium fish.

Mom: You have until the count of ten to get your butt back in the tub or else… 1… 2… TEN! THAT’S IT!! MARCH! GO! GO! STRUGGLING WILL ONLY MAKE IT WORSE! And we WILL have a long discussion about this later, young man! By the way, you’re grounded for a month!

I’m surprised Calvin didn’t think of just digging a hole in the backyard to be filled by the next thunderstorm for his very own pond. I’m sure if he and Hobbes got busy on it, they could have it nearly all dug out by the time his dad got out of work and surprise him with his very own pond in the back yard! All his dad will have to do then is take him to the pet store to buy a few fish for the new backyard pond… I’m sure he’ll thank Calvin all the way to the pet store for his efforts :0)

Calvin sure doesn’t have the body of Myles Garrett…but at least Calvin isn’t loaded with tattoos.

I’m now somewhat disappointed with Watterson; Brenda Benet had better coverage during her ‘Chick Benet’ years.

Why neeb an aquariub

Hmmmm. dripping water on the bathroom floor I can understand… but all the way down the stairs? As a mom, I would have been very annoyed. But then, if I had a Calvin I might have been in jail for murder……

I’m so glad that no one has mentioned Calvin’s butt being shown, as a lot of people are evidently closet-ped*philes, and seeing an innocent picture of such a thing sets them off. There were many negative comments a few months ago in “For Better or For Worse” when April’s bare butt was shown.

I would love to see his reaction if Mom brought home a goldfish bowl!
