Hobbes won’t attack Susie, he has a crush on her. Also, since Susie is there, Calvin may be safe for a while.

Hobbes can surely smell the difference between Calvin and Suzy, not to mention the sound of their voices yelled through the door.

Calvin is being a gentleman allowing Susie to enter the house first. And everyone thinks he’s been such a shmutz to girls!

BTW, Hobbes probably already knows this and has tea already brewed for her visit.
