I suspect some of the drops in the Dow are orchestrated by the wealthiest to scare the little investors into selling their shares. Then they can buy those shares at the lower price and get even richer as the Dow climbs back to a higher level.

Driving on a street full of potholes is a smoother ride.

The best way to make a small fortune in the stock market, is to start off with a big one.

Future historians will describe “Day One” as the beginning of the downfall of the USA.

Do they shut this down and open the “Dow Jones of Hope” when the market goes back up, as it always does?

Wow. I love the ignorance of folks. Investing is for the long term, 20, 30, 40 years, perhaps even longer. A blip here, a hiccup there, a recession, even the Great Depression…….through all of that the stock markets still average roughly 12% year over year. Regardless of President, changes in CEOs, wars, financial boondoggles (2008 anyone?), people still end up OK and their investments still improve in the long term.

Good grief.
