The book Holly holds with such avid eyesIs a sex-laden thriller from Mickey SpillaneIn the book, many perish, and Hammer’s friend diesBut the steamy parts might be more in Holly’s brainNow she’ll have to solve one bit of real-life mysteryLinda’s nature is known to her, as is her pastBut her current mindset, independent from historyMake her quite dangerous. Holly saw her becoming a koala, knows about her anguishover the loss of her son. And the cruel actions of the top sicers. Maybe she needs a child to step into the empty space. Someone who lost their parents while “bean gathering.” I don’t think Holly carries a grudge. She wasn’t hostile while on the ship, not social either, but I think, knowing that Linda doesn’t have ANY where else to go to, I hope she will be willing.Holly doesn’t look pregnant yet, but the good doctor might be wanting to give Holly something to “do”. Hey how to you put words in italics or underlined in thisspace?Blessed Be

Look up the book Holly is reading. Holly knows Linda was a TopSider and might be able to help, but would she? Gives Hammer Time a new meaning.Remember, vote early and often for this strip, Endtown 2.0, the original strip, Endtown, and Jenner’s strip Doc Rat. Go over to topwebcomics.com, and they are on the front page. Or Level_Head and SurfStuff55 will post links. I really need to email SurfStuff55 and avail myself of her offer to teach me how to post links and stuff. Thanks,JusSayinPS: Step Daughter indeed.

Since she’d already offered to let Linda live with them, after she’d been headed for debrainification at Linda’s own hand, I’d figure she’s probably willing to help.

10/21/2011… Holly has a big heart, but the in the strip for that day Linda is trying to place Holly into the brain harvester and declaring Holly is too pathetic to live. But…she is Holly, after all. It probably isn’t in her to be cruel.

In a bizarre way, It’s brilliant. It’s Linda’s only solution. No-one but no-one in Endtown would be able to get her through this like Holly could. On so may levels. For a start, though, they WILL go head-to-head… Crash or crash through. It’s not going to be pretty.

Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Some folks we know and love are finally back.Holly is a fighter but also prone to rash decisions in an attempt to help. She snuck into Wally’s backpack getting into extreme danger so what might she do if Linda wants to go topside and get her child. Holly would identify with that as a STEPDAUGHTER and probably try to help. Again it will have to be Wally to the rescue.Great story now beginning.

Now one can see why Maude is so much the mother of that house. Lost her husband she did. He could not handle it and took another way out leaving her behind. Sad it is. That would be her to take care of the house as she does and all call her Maw. Her name and her caring.

I looked it up…Holly did say that Doc Chase has always been like a father to her…the backstory on this oughta be terriffic.#By the way, somebody said Doc Chase is a muskrat…Doc Chase is one of the two [main] characters whose, er, “animal ethnicity” I haven’t been able to figure out (the other being Dottie). All the others were easy guesses…I’m happy to have something to hold onto…

To address yesterdays post by Night-Gaunt49 just to be sure to use his name properly and not to appear to him as DUMB.It is obvious he is a fan of the drug know as hemp, weed, marijuana and wishes it to be legalized so his postings indicate.Frankly to answer him as a law enforcement officer I could care less what is legal or not. I deal with the aftermath of the event not the original causes. It is a scientific fact the THC in the high doses of the marijuana currently in production and cultivation causes loss of short term memory, breast growth on males, over eating, forgetfulness, probably long term lung cancer. I have heard “potheads” talk the most fantastic plans in the world. Get up and smoke a “joint, bong hit” completely forgetting what they discussed the previous night.I am not on this site to score POINTS. I am not here playing a GAME. I am a gamer Call of Duty, stuff like that. It’s actually therapy recommended by my VA shrink to deal with PTSD. You speak as if you have great knowledge about things. THC is in all hemp. The concentration is just low. Back in the beginnings of “dope” smoking it was the wild hemp plant that was used. FROM THE ORIGINAL ROPE PRODUCTION group and growing wide naturally. It had a low THC count and would give a buzz like a few beers. I know I lived back in those times. Back then no harm no foul. Then it had to be messed with by cultivating to increase the THC load increasing the potency. Now its like Everclear and Tequila mixed with pure grain moonshine. Now its a problem. The only difference is “marijuana intoxication” does not make one ANGRY. They are less aggressive than an “alcohol intoxication” subject. I know I have dealt with both types for over thirty years. You want to smoke dope fine with me. You hate the government fine with me. You hate everything and everyone fine with me. But calling me DUMB and wanting to score POINTS is a bit too far. I need no POINTS with you. You want POINTS find me on Call of Duty Black Ops II. Caster_1971 is my moniker there. Look for me you will find me. There we can play and score POINTS. You are probably better at it than me but guess what I DON’T CARE.End of conversationAnd I apologize to all who post here if you read this. I just want the Night dude or girl to read it.Thanks for your patience. Now back to the program.

Hmmm…hard to make out what Holly’s wearing because of the book. At first I wasn’t sure that she wasn’t in her waitress frock, but this outfit goes all the way down to her ankles. I’m guessing she’s wearing some form of slacks. I hope she doesn’t change before leaving the house. It’d be nice to see her in something different.

Maybe Holly will help because she knows what Linda was and what she did, and Linda can talk openly with her about things—-or maybe Holly won’t help, because she knows what Linda was and did…it is so hard typing this in on a Nook Color…

I do think it’s Holly’s waitress dress. It’s shaded like her dress. And if you look under her left elbow, you can see the tie to her apron (which is white). The way the book presses down on the center of the skirt part of the dress, it just looks like slacks.

With the new material available why would industrial hemp be needed. I have done years of mountain climbing and would never trust a HEMP rope for usage. Too fragile under extreme stress. So the war against Drugs is Evil.Explain with all the slaughter in Mexico how the war itself against this product is evil? Do you know where the money goes for that stuff? It lines the pockets of some of the most arrogant nasty mean bastards in the world. They kill entire families for losing a load. The entire family!! I myself am under a hit order from the Zetas in Mexico. ALL POLICE ARE!Here is the deal. Legalize it. Then what? I would stop you for a traffic violation and arrest you for driving under the influence of marijuana. DWI works for both drugs and alcohol. You would be demanded to voluntarily give blood to check the THC count. It is done now my misguided friend. How many people get mugged by drunks looking to get money to buy booze or drugs? Lots get their wallets stolen, cars broken into, purses stolen, homes burglarized all to get money to buy either booze which is legal or drugs which is illegal. So if I catch your drift my stand as a lawman against the EVILS of drugs and the monsters that distribute it is EVIL. So now you call me EVIL. First dumb (reread you last post yesterday) and now Evil.So you seriously think the potency will drop if legalized? My word you are misguided in so many ways. The legalization will allow for the growers to increase potency in an attempt to sell the better (GET YOU HIGHER) product. Supply and Demand my friend. Right now in Mexico they coat some marijuana with a lacing of PCP because the stuff is weak to begin with as it is grown farm like with no increasing potency. Ever deal with an animal (crazed person) on PCP laced grass. I have. To go home I had to kill him. Yes, killed him over smoking PCP laced grass getting all crazied up going around beating people up for no reason. I and my partner show up. He attacks us. Breaks my partner’s arm and is now on me trying to choke me out. Three 357 mags to the chest at point blank saved my life and my partners life. BUT WEED is NOT A PROBLEM so you say.But then again I am EVIL because I know the damage this stuff can do.Was that mannerly enough for you. You speak to me as if you are speaking to child. Again you attempt to take the high road. You want this stuff legal post your opinion on HIGH TIMES magazine website. They have one. Maybe they can show you how legalizing it will decrease potency when they advertise stuff to make it more strong. Good info there friend.Just remember the next time someone breaks into your house and steals your stuff. Evil guys like me are out there trying to protect you from Evil like that. Most of them are drug driven individuals. But hey share the weed if you have any. Then sing songs, eat chips, and trip.

My fellows on the Endtown site. I believe I have carried on enough with Night-Gaunt49. This will be my last posting towards any of his remarks. I believe this is a higher road for me to take. Fans of marijuana legalization are right to conclude what they want. If legalizing it will save the lives my fellow officers now working on the border to stop this stuff from coming in then I accept legalization. Those who want to smoke it do so. We “Police” will deal with it in our usual ways.So in two days, I have been called dumb and now evil. Hey no skin lost here. Like I have not heard it before. Came back from the Nam and heard the same damn thing.Just a different war and a different time.I appreciate the support from others but let us move on.I am out. Enough said. Only the story of Endtown matters now.See you tomorrow for the Friday strip. Those are always good.

My sad little friend. You do live in imagination land.It is a drug war for control of the border to flood the US with drugs on an unprecedented scale. Its not about pounds or kilos. It is now tonnage. Full loaded truck tractor semi trailers heading north under the Free Trade Agreement. Screened at the border with fees paid to not look. Seals put on to keep the vehicle from being detained.Right now the border gangs are forcing the residents along the Rio Grande to sell their land. You ever been visited by a group of armed men telling you to sell your land and get out. Happening everyday down there. The cartels buy the land and then block the authorities access to stop the boats crossing the river with the drugs. Now they are on this side stockpiling it in warehouses for shipping as needed. Now they can’t flood the market as it would push prices down cutting into their funds. So they control the flow to keep prices reasonable. It is a war my sad friend for control of the border. We have six 36 foot long attack boats to patrol down there. They have been shot at every single time they go up river. The rule is don’t shot back as it is a foreign country and we don’t want an international incident. I was sent down there one time. Chased a drug hauler to the river. They usually crash the vehicle into the river and chunk the dope out to be picked up by waiting boats. This guy never made it. He abandoned his truck and dove into the river. I come up on the bank and watch him swimming away. About twenty rounds ripped over my head and in the brush around me. I was being fired upon from the Mexican side of the river. I felt several rounds move air past my face. Those are close when you can feel those. I returned fire as I could tell about where they were firing from. I retreated back from the rivers edge. I was lectured by a Federal Agent for shooting back. He said what would have happened if I had killed him. I said let the Mexican government figure that out. No one takes free shots at me.You think that incident was because of centuries of patron/peon exsistence? It was over drugs not land issues.
