Well now. Not only is Brad being a good ‘father’ to Shannon, but Toni’s being a good ‘sister’ to Luann, and they’re even coordinating with her parents!

Luann is blessed with an amazing family. There’s not 1 family in 10 who’d go to that much trouble to hook up young lovers across the ocean. I hope she remembered to thank everyone a dozen times or so.

I agree with Berneice – Bummer that nothing seems to have happened with Brad & Toni on Valentine’s Day. I do understand Toni is making it really difficult for Brad. However I think Toni let this go on too long with too much sweet stuff to jump ship. Reminds me of For Better or For Worse: Deana held off for a long time – despite the seeming inevitability of getting married to Michael.

Bernice and Delta do seem to be having a case of the green-eyed monster. Wouldn’t most friends be gushing about ’that’s so romantic I wsh it’d happen to me!’

In fact, not sure why Levi wanted Bernice back so badly. She’s the queen of downers, at the moment.

Awwwww….but she’s still not telling what the camera’s shared with each other.

Bummer is RIGHT, sadly, the longest courtship, in comics, since Lil Abner and Daisy Mae Scragg, continues to go nowhere. :S

I think that it is charming that Brad, Toni, TJ, Frank and Nancy all worked together to make Luann’s Valentine’s Day internet tryst with Quill a success! Especially Frank and Nancy, I see this as a seal of approval of Quill being Luann’s special boyfriend.

Well, Luann has been cheered considerably by the clever Valentine’s Day treat she got from Quill and his co-conspirators. And the Boomerang Pendant is a nice touch. Looks like Delta and Bernice may be jealous and trying to change the subject….

It’s interesting to note that it’s Delta walking closest to Luann, not to mention that she speaks to Luann, while Bernice only replies to Delta; classic symptoms of former BFFs “Growing apart”

Bernice and Delta are being typical girlfriends that are gently teasing Luann because She thought the big news was going to be about B & T and NOT about her! Those comments in that fashion are like a wink and a smile.

Your new layout is terrible. You most likely get more “commercials” in per page but the page is really crappy for the reader.

Ah Greg with his misdirection again!! just as I predicted. However, never fear, I still have a feeling that surprises (good ones I hope) await with Brad and Toni. As to Luann and Quill in a way, given how romantic she is, maybe it is better her bf is 10000 miles away; after all she is about to be a college girl.

Brad has proposed to Toni many times. She doesn’t want to get married yet for whatever reason.

Glad Quill came through on VD for Luann. That was a very nice surprise and I don’t see how the lad could have done better. :-) So Luann’s finally got a romantic! (Elwood doesn’t count, as she was totally not into him.)

How is this different than her New Year’s date?.Were Toni and Bwad there? Why?.Why did Frank and Nancy have to babysit Shannon if Toni and Bwad were there?.Why is a $3.99 tourist trinket a better gift than a jar of Vegemite?.Why doesn’t Luann let her friends listen the tape that TJ made of her V-date?

Delta and Bernice don’t appear jealous to me. They seem pointedly uninterested in what Luann’s saying, which is pretty callous for BFFs, I agree, but it was established early on that Luann gabs too much about Quill and they just don’t want to hear about it. They’re just being consistent. Even so, geez, it wouldn’t have killed them to say something—anything—back to Luann about her lovely surprise.

Getting hard to believe after all this time that neither Delta nor Bernice have a BF of their own.

I have thought from the first that Quill was planned as a foreigner, to be removed when Greg thought the love interest was going too far. I don’t think Greg wants Luann to get beyond her teens. Since many of us are fond of Quill, he is back, if only from afar, to gradually fade away. Same thing for Bwad. He won’t be married off, either. Tony chased him, professed her love for him, then decided she doesn’t want to marry? Not how women think, Greg.

I’m with Bernice and Delta on this one.

It is a comic, but that was a sweet Valentine’s Day gift. I guess we just have to wait for Brad and Toni….

I think Ox and Tiffany should get together. It wouldn’t be normal, which would fit the requirements as put forth by Lev, and Ox seemed in the past to bring out the better side of Tiff, so maybe it could have some sweet moments. That would be great character development for Tiff. Um. But unless Tiff showed herself worthy of a sweet guy, Ox would be gone in a hot second. Well…it was fun to think about for a few minutes there!

I think it’s sweet that even some young folks can enjoy a long distance relationship. For me it is really better that we communicate that way while I work out the kinks of my new vegetarian regime.

It’s also good that Brad and Toni are not planning marriage so young (I was married at 21, and tho’ we produced 4 healthy children, I think it is better that most people wait longer now).

He can’t. There’s never been any indication otherwise.

While I realize Luann does talk about a Quill a lot, the lack of interest that her girlfriends show, especially Bernice, is pretty telling and pretty rude. While Delta in general is a pretty sympathetic character, Bernice is starting to border on flat-out unpleasant. We get it, Bernice, Luann shouldn’t talk about Quill, especially since you don’t have a boyfriend (since Zane appears to have disappeared off the face of the comic earth) and nothing in life appears to make you even smile. Bitter, much?
