That is the most damaging piece of advice given by diet doctors and gurus. ‘Eat a tiny slice or small spoonful and your craving will subside.’ Fresh cow piles!!! The only subside that happened was my so called willpower caving in and eating even more. Now I just take a normal slice or small bowl of the stuff and gee golly, no craving. Cut on something else that you can get by with, like bread or something.
I must be in the minority who doesn’t love ice cream. I do like some fresh, homemade ice cream, but no one makes it anymore. Now a cookie or some dark chocolate, yes please! And I won’t even make cake anymore or I will eat it all. :-b
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! The days just fly by. Too much going on and I’m so tired. One day I will miss having things to do, but for now, I would like a break. So I’m here taking a Cathy break. Hope everyone has a great day!
I agree. One spoonful of ice cream just won’t do. No way I could stop myself after only one – unless it was mint in that case one spoon is too much (peppermint and I have never got along).
Glad to hear from you lightenup – I was getting worries it has been so long since you were here. I hope your life does settle down a little soon.
I disagree cubswin2016 – I know the line well but it should have been “A spoonful of chocolate makes the medicine go down”.
Hope everyone had a great day today and didn’t have to do with only one spoonful.

Size of spoon and capacity is sort of subjective. Eat anything. Eat everything. Just less.

OK—I literally [face-palmed] on this one. Is that a spoon or a shovel, Cathy?

Yup…whoever said a small bowl is right on…I have one every night and I make my goal at Weight Watchers every month (for the past 12 years).
