Cathy would be happy to go shopping for you, Irving. Although most workplaces give guidelines on what is acceptable for casual Friday. Do places even do casual Friday anymore? We only have experience in tech companies where they have a less formal dress code all the time. In fact, they tell you to not wear a tie or anything formal for your interview. And after that, it’s not too hard to look around to see what others are wearing.
Hello, Cathy friends! Happy Tuesday! Have a great day, all!
The ladies who worked behind the sign-in desks for out-patient procedures at our local hospital used to show up with wet hair and sweatpants. Every day was casual to them. I guess the hospital decided to give them all a pep talk, because I don’t see it anymore.
And to think how worried and full of angst Cathy was over Irving wanting to go out on a “date” with her when all he really needed was “casual Friday” clothing advice from our favorite little shopaholic instead. How funny is that?!? :-D

Hi, rgcviper! :-)

Hello and Happy Tuesday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope you all had a really nice day today! ♥
Personally, I wear decent button-up or collared shirts, along with slacks, to work each day. “Casual Friday” means swapping said slacks for jeans. Not a huge change, but one that makes the office more comfortable.

Amazing that he didn’t just google it; that is where I picked up guidelines that were compatible with state office dress code.

For me at that age, casual Friday usually meant Cammies and my old comfortable combat boots. (Still shined of course)

I love Cathy’s expression of anxiety in the third panel. Did she really think he was about to propose to her?
