I’m sure Arlo knew exactly what was going on. He has had a long stand issue with her sunning herself with or without the suits. Mostly I think he is being selfish and just doesn’t want to share the viewing.

More proof they live down south….

if she is in a spot when she can sunbathe au natural, whose eyes is she evading?

Kind of heavy snowfall every winter for folks who are living down South.

She’s sunning and he needs a jacket and knit cap to walk around? Somebody didn’t check the weather.

She was shielded by the hedges, maybe using them as a wind block. In Colorado, even when there is snow on the ground its sunny enough to sun bathe.

Supposed to be 62 today and 68 Sunday here in the Atlanta area. Suspect JJ has similar weather in south Mississippi.

The hedge is green not brown. Maybe it is spring? and very cool with the wind.blowing.

Her head lights must have been on high beam.

If there is a light, reflective surface such as a cement deck that is protected from wind by something like a hedge on 3-4 sides, it’s perfectly reasonable to sunbathe. The radiant heat of the sun, both direct and reflected can heat the body to a comfortable temperature.

I think Janis just “tans”, even in cold weather, because she doesn’t want to believe she may be a closet nudist.

Was that supposed to be a robe? It looks like a heavy coat. And just who took it? It doesn’t look like Arlo.

I wonder if she spotted a camera drone taking her picture?

JANIS!! The beach chair, you’re almost wearing. :) Look fast Arlo, it seems the only time you see her naked is when you sneak a peek at her in the tub. ;)

What was Janis doing? Resting naked in the yard without undergarments.

Southeastern Wisconsin, 3/8/13, 11:45am. Bright sunshine, temp in the mid 30’s. My wife just told me she was thinking about hanging towels on the clothes line.

Forgot to mention about a foot of snow in the yard where the clothes line is located.

Really? Does everyone here believe Janis is naked? It seems far more likely (to me at least) that she’s wearing a swimsuit that may be a bit less modest than normal for her. Then, when Arlo brings her robe in, she panics.

The strip reminds me of the story of the young lady out and about in a rural area—hot dusty road, in need of a break from what ever she was doing.

She spots a hole in the creek along the road under some trees and stops. Seeing and hearing nobody, she shucks her clothes off an wades in for a dip.

Refreshed, she turns back towards her clothes, only to see a young lad sitting on the bank , between her and her clothes.

Fortunately, she had noticed and old wash tub on the bottom, and she fetched it and held it in front of herself as she marched up to give the lad what-for. She started with “Do you know what I think”? which the lad answered wit:

“Yes ma’am. You thing that old tub has got a bottom in it.”

OK – Why does the hedge have a shadow and Arlo does not? And, the sun is either rising or setting, so the air must be fairiy cold. A weird panel…

If that’s the case I’m sorry I just ate that Oreo. That’s gonna tank your insurance for sure.(hint: I’m not really sorry)

The lapels indicate that this is a jacket, not a robe. I imagine this still goes on; but at the U where I got my MA, it was common for young ladies with little weather sense to lay out on the greens in their bikinis; then throw their winter clothes and coats on to come to class.

Uh…my question is WHY would she sunbathe in such COLD FREAKIN’ weather???

I live in FL and it is too cold to sunbathe at all in March.

I know many women who find being caught in a skimpy suit is every bit as mortifying as being seen naked. All I’m saying is, it works either way, but just because it’s Jimmy’s strip, most everyone assumes it has to be the worst case scenario.

Guys,, found out that the cartoonist is from Alabama and, in spite of damage incurred by Hurricane Katrina, still owns a home in Pass Christian, Mississippi, home of Robin Roberts. Remember their son works for his father in law, in a restaurant close to an ocean.
