Let me be a bit more specific. No cheat codes for the board game. If it’s electronic Monopoly in any of its many manifestations, then yes, there are cheat codes.
I don’t call them cheat codes … I call them “Efficient Winning Codes”.www.cheatcc.com – there are several ‘console’ and PC games and each has a cheat. :D
National Lampoon, ca 1974, once had a Monopoly Cheating Kit, with things like a brown strip you could put at the top of a property so it wouldn’t match the rest of an opponent’s monopoly, and a Chance card that said, “Go to Jail. Go directly to Jail. Pass Go. Collect $200.”
My sister’s strategy was, when she was several bucks ahead, to yell that I was cheating so that Mom and Dad would break up the game. Of course, she considered it cheating that I could calculate 10% for Income Tax instead of always paying $200, and she couldn’t.
I remember a long weekend where a few of us formed a ‘corporation’ – so that we could attack the one player that seemed to always have lucky rolls. …. It was the only way we were able to win.

But there can be cheating. Keep a close eye on the banker.

I have to admit. I skimped on my research for this cartoon. ARE there cheat codes for Monopoly online? Everything ELSE is online these days.

Are they playing with the new set? If so, who got the lucky cat token?
