CAREER WEEK.
Boy: When I grow up I want to be a sorcerer. Mr. Burke: That's not a realistic goal. Boy: You let Christos Want to be a footbal player and his dad weighs 140 pounds.
You want to grow up to be a sorcerer? Literally, knowing the source of all knowledge? Become a teacher…..If you dare…..And have the guts….and the energy….and the money….
Thats exactly what I’ve always said! And furthermore, some sorcerer somewhere made me see “snarkphone” where you had written “smartphone.” Either that, or you wrote “snarkphone” and the sorcerer then changed it to "smartphone.
How realistic does a teacher have to be? Is it OK to encourage kids to try to be pro football players or astronauts? The chances of success are better than the chances of winning the lottery but still.. most of the the kids who train for such careers without having a backup plan will be disappointed.
Randy_B, I agree…Scientists and engineers, and many others are real, They actually do things….There is almost no information about anything that I can’t find in 30 conds….If I can’t find something in a minute or less it’s a State Secret…Can sorcery do that? Science is real.
@PotrzebieAll you need is decent sleight of hand, a balloon full of chicken blood and guts, and some rubes.·@Night-Gaunt49He’s a cartoon character, he can do anything.

“Not a realistic goal” as in “No one gets to be that”.There are football players. There aren’t any sorcerers.

The REAL ones, you never hear about.
They prefer to be way, Way, WAY behind the scenes.
The best ones go for a “Butterfly Effect” kind of thing.

You can be a sorcerer; I’ll be a barbarian. And I’m a 140-pound adult.

With a name like “Christos” and a father that size, I’m guessing “football” doesn’t mean the same sport in his home as it does in this kid’s.

Maybe he meant “futbol” player. They seem to be a lot smaller than football payers.

Not much of a difference between sorcery and faith healing. Plus, there’s more money in faith healing.

Could be the eighth son of an eighth son.

I’ll take it. That’s as close as you’re gonna get to a kid saying “I want to be a scientist”.
StoicLion1973 almost 12 years ago
That kid should meet Rev. Glover and his sons in “Jump Start”.
