Ah, throttling the day, good times, good times…

Tomorrow sounds like a trip to the ER.

Carpe diem…..Seize the Carp

Well, nice to see that my daughter had competition, even if it was on the comic page. A considerable relief, actually! lol!

Never thought I’d see the day — siezed or not — when Calvinappeared to be ENJOYING a bath!

So that’s what they call ‘flow’.

A realy fullfilling day, but this one is not better!

This is no joke…my brother didn’t just leave a ring around the bath most nights…it was uniformly grey and had to be scrubbed out with cleanser and a brush when he was done. In those days kids were expected to play outside most of the day, and expected to get dirty. He surpassed that expectation!

ahhhh summer!

I can relate. Growing up our house was next to an empty lot. The neighborhood kids would spend hour and hours playing in the rocks and dirt. We even would occasionally go sledding down the dirt hill. I often came home in the evenings with a few layers of dirt on my skin and clothes. Practically turn the bath water to mud.

I hate baths. I only take showers now.

And speaking of showers, @KESTUCK, a shower would have been better for Calvin. With a bath he’s just bathing in his own dirt.

Another good day. Calvin’s not even objecting to the bath.

My best day like that over before the first school bell rang. The teacher would not let several of us in to the class rooms. We were sent home covered in mud and debris from head to foot from a great game of touch football.

The second best involved not only me and my sister, but my parents and several other families on a trip to a lake. A sudden summer shower popped up and created turned the dirt road into mud pit for the cars. It was filthy but every one had a good time getting out that day.

I’m like that after a day of mowing my back yard and pruning the bushes.

Seized, indeed!

To be a 6 y/o kid again….

Now we have YOLO . . . some how less inspiring, isn’t it?

It’s way too long between that day and the first day of retirement!

That is what being 6 is all about! I remember it fondly. Success was mother looking at the bath tub ring and shouting in horror.

I always maintained that the dirtier my children were, the more fun they’d had. Go, Calvin!

My mm always wanted me to keep my clothes clean. I asked her for some clothes I was allowed to get dirty. She actually saw the sense in that.

Mission Accomplished

I never thought getting dirty and scratched up is a great way to spend time.

Aww to be young.

Ahh, I feel better now. Wait. Where’s my boat?

Life! It doesn’t get any better than this.

Truer words….

Who seized who? Did Calvin seize the tree, or did the tree seize Calvin? lol Good times!
