In panel 2, Hy Pressure looks rather like McEldowney’s Djinn of IT to me. But Hy is a baddie refugee from a B-grade ’80s adventure-thriller. I suspect he will not outlive this story arc….

In panel three, it looks like he’s peeing.

just get Luca Brasi to hold a gun to his head, and assure him that either his brains or his signature would be on the contract.

I love the reintroduction of old characters as the next man (providing the next man is a Dick Tracy fan, of course), but Nellie Wheaton is older than Sparkle Plenty. She was already a teenager (1943) before Sparkle was even born (1947), for cryin’out loud.

I’m still worried about Moon Maiden

I didn’t read the other posts this morning, but where does one have to “buy” land in order to drill? Answer: Nowhere. They lease it, and that is tightly controlled by the State (not the gubmint). Then, the landowner gets money from the leasing (usually so much an acre), they get generally 20% of the mineral proceeds, and an override. NOT by the way depicted in the story. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t know these facts.

There has been a lot of acreage bought so that someone could profit from mineral rights. Unscrupulous characters will do anything to make money. If they know that the area will be leased and mined, they very well could try to buy up acreage.

I came here to get caught up on the storyline, and I get a lesson on drilling rights. I love this! And when it comes to Hy, if he sets foot on the property, I got a feeling that Sparkle won’t appreciate it.

‘GoComics’ was verklempt last night. Glad to see the site working today.

I finally decided to post. I liked the Moon era and am very happy with this story. What a blast to see Moon Maid again! I hope she gets out of her fix and gets happy again. I remember she was always smiling and how good it always felt to see her. What a fantastic character. I’m sorry I’m just a fan and love Moon Maid!

I just can’t say enough about Team Tracy, or thank them enough for bringing this strip back to life. I look forward to reading the strip every day. Is a matter of fact, I am always waiting for the new strip to post at 11:00 p.m. at that “other” site. It posts earlier than here. As if having Honeymoon become a central figure in the strip wasn’t enough, it’s been so exciting to see Moon Maid, (a drawing of her parents), and Moon Valley again. Not to forget the Space Coupe and Notta Chin Chillar. The Moon Maid story has been exciting, and even emotional at times on so many counts. I am hoping that Mysta is the original Moon Maid and that Curtis keeps her in the strip. It would be great to have Moon Maid help Tracy and the gang fight crime once in a while. While I feel it’s okay for Junior to stay with Sparkle, there is still a lot that Team Tracy can do with Mysta. Here’s to hoping.
