    Our President is honest when he affirms that he could have been Trayvon. He is the sort who lurks in the bushes, then jumps out to administer a beat-down of those he leads from behind – that is the pattern of ObamaCare, the EPA, the NLRB, and the IRS.

    In your heart you know he is white. Had Martin grabbed the gun and shot Zimmerman, I doubt he would have gotten off from the stand your ground law, that was meant for demented gun addicts.

    No…..his only fault was attacking the other guy. But wait….I forgot……black guys are never at fault…..it is always racism.

    Why is no one upset about the hundreds of black kids who are killed by other black kids? Are their lives worth less than this man’s life?

    I’ll never say what Zimmerman did was right, but it was legal. Don’t hate the player; hate the game. Change the law.

    Now back to the comics… It’s just Arlo being Arlo.

    No one hid in the bushes, Trayvon was an innocent young man and even if he wasn’t, Zimmerman had no business confronting him. @Mneedle – plenty of people care about black on black crime and people being killed in general it just doesn’t make the main scene like this did – although it should. I’m outraged by all of this killing regardless of race – too many people have access to guns. My own mother was shot and killed when I was only three so I’ve always hated guns.

    Oh, COME ON!! Arlo and Janis have been pretty steady recently… Let’s not start going around the bend with political stuff now…Although, I confess that I did rather enjoy the founding fathers stuff July 4th week…

    G.Z. made some bad decisions that night, but nothing he did warranted a physical assault. Once T.M. initiated that assault, he was subject to whatever defensive measures G.Z. felt was necessary to protect himself.

    No, his only fault was doubling back, hiding in the bushes, ambusing George Z., and pummeling him. The only damage to Trayvon was the gunshot, George had a broken nose, bruises to the face, and scalp lacerations and cuts. This was not a stand your ground case, it was clear self defense. But why should thevtruth matter, the narrative is all.

    “All the kid was doing was walking home. His only fault was, he was black while doing it!”-Don’t know which kid you are talking about but there was a case in the news recently in which a man was charged with murder for shooting a child who seems to have knocked him to the ground and was pounding his head into the concrete for no other reason than that he was following him.The lady on the phone with him just before it happened had suggested he might be gay and he may have been beating him out of homphobia but we don’t know right now and never will. All we really do know is that the only marks on the child other than the bullet wound which killed him were the bruised kniuckles with which he was breaking his nose and striking his head into the concrete at least six times, possibly more.-That’s not just walking home.-Arlo doesn’t have to fear these things because he has Ludwig to protect him.

    @Mneedle

    “Why is no one upset about the hundreds of black kids who are killed by other black kids? Are their lives worth less than this man’s life?”-Many ARE upset. They think the police are disinterested despite their claims nobody will snitch on the guilty parties. The police are supposed to solve all crimes without help from the community.-As to why the other case is getting all the attention, it is because of the races of the parties involved. Most don’t care about what really happened; they simply see it as some symbol of injustice in this nation.-Arlo is disheartened by the existence of injustice.Aren’t we all?

    Also George Zimmerman was not white he was bi-racial looking more Hispanic then white. And I am sure this strip has nothing to do with it.

    “What would you have done followed then confronted by a stranger with a gun who isn’t police—-run? Shot in the back. So you attack! It is the only way, but he lost.”-So you believe the child saw the Latino was carrying a gun so he attacked him because that was the only thing he could have possibly done?-Could be. What is your proof that is what happened?-For that matter, what is your proof the Latino confronted him?-Had Zimmerman shot others in the back before? Why didn’t it come out at trial? Most think the prosecution was incompetent because they didn’t produce evidence of such things rather than the possibility such things were not real.-I thought better of you — unless you do indeed have proof of your allegations which would have sent the Latino to prison for a very long time for sending the innocent child to a grave for an even longer time.

    So the fact the defense never used “Stand Your Ground” makes no difference? Don’t let facts get in the way of self-righteous indignation, right?

    Wow… the racism on this comment board sure is disturbing, and unfortunate. I assume most of the people who wrote these things also thing now— in 2020— that George Floyd somehow “deserved” his fate, also…
