Our favorite recluse agreed to an interview with Mental Floss! The full interview will appear in the December 2013 print issue but an excerpt can be viewed here and an interesting October 2007 article about Watterson and his early work at Kenyon College can be found here. Not too surprising, Bill does look like Calvin’s dad.
Unfortunately, Fall is the time of year that a lot of bugs try to come inside our homes for the winter! I don’t know how many wolf spiders and queen wasps I have killed over the years each Fall. :P-——————————————ewww! good point!

I agree with everyone, except the ants who are determined to move into the house for the winter.

That’s one way of looking at it. I can’t stand looking at the lifeless trees and shrubs.

The mosquitos were brutal this year, we actually had three seasons/batches of ’em this time around.
Nothing like sitting on the front porch after two or three hard frosts and being attacked by tiny little mossies….

Really will be glad to get rid of the dog ticks. They seem to be immune to all the pet sprays.
ewalnut about 11 years ago
They seem to be biting by the truckload where I live.

I like the way Hobbs is drawn in the last panel. I just love it when he tries to look at the back of his head by turning his eyeballs in place.
