THERE SHOULD BE A LAW⊠That Christmas (or whatever festive) Songs should be played only within eight days of Christmas.
Another Law stating that the same damn CD should NEVER be played more than once in stores/malls or at the very least , a radio should/must be used to play music over the stores/malls speakers because the songs are always different/changing.
In panel #6, Garfieldâs ears flap down at the 4th playing of the same Christmas song. Real cats ears flap down, when they get irritated. A nice realistic touch there.
I donât start playing Christmas music in our home until the day after Thanksgiving, and I have a LOT of different CDs to choose from, so itâs not too repetitious. We also donât go to the store over and over (except for weekly groceries) so we donât get overexposed that way, either. This way I get to hear all of my favorites and none of the ones I dislike, like âMaryâs Boy Childâ and âSanta Babyâ.
In my area there are two FM radio stations that play 24/7 Christmas music starting not long after halloween. Unbearable; I donât listen to them at all. I feel bad for anyone that works in those stations.
Why is it that the good songs are only heard every couple of days and the crappy songs are on every hour? It stinks when the slow songs are remade to be sung even slower, every word drags on forever.
Yep, I know how he feels. A certain radio show I listen to was promoting a Christmas cd they recorded several weeks ago. They started playing it between the breaks about mid-November. I hated the well played music. It nearly put me to sleep. The same song would be used in the breaks over and over. Glad they finally went on their holiday break!
Probably no one will see this comment since itâs been over a year. But I printed this out and laminated it for my mom. Before laminating it, I personalized it. In each panel, I wrote in a line from âGrandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer.â She HATES that song! There are otherâs she hates too, but this one most especially!
Christmas music has been around for a very long time, and Iâm sure there are thousands of different Christmas songs. So why do the radio stations and Christmas CDs all focus on variants of the same 40-100 songs?!! I wish the radio stations that play Christmas music would stop using a top 40 format and expand to the wide range of available music. It wouldnât get old so fast.

Those cookies look good, Garfield. The song is repetitious, though. No need to destroy Jonâs property.
