Tiffany is being helpful and giving good advice! Call the pope and write down the date and time of this miracle!

For all her complaining about the baby-sitting and snot-wiping, Tiffany does seem to be liked by the kids. (They really enjoyed that flag-drawing project, and Sergio certainly seems impressed by her.) What she’s doing today is really pretty good – she’s showing the girl who was insulted by one of the mean kids that she should not be hurt by those insults but should show Amber that she places no value on her opinion. She seems to be better at this job than she realizes.

Well, I was saying that Tiffany is the one “getting in where she’s fitting in”… – But… I suppose that’s good advice for Tiff to give.. Sometimes kids are also so generous, that they’d assume the other kid was thirsty, and would offer some punch… how festive!…

Don’t worry kid; Amber’s probably a fatass too – gotta lay off those cokes and happy meals..

Tiffany reminds me of that one girl we ALL knew in High School who you JUST KNEW was destined to do “adult-themed” cinema…LOL

I have to admit, this is pretty heartwarming…for Tiff anyway.

Does Tiff act stuck up because she was badly teased when she was little and never let go of her defensive reactions?

A well-timed intervention (by the young wailer) and an endearing response from the Tiffster. She belongs! And Luann seems to approve, too.

For my generation, in the area that I went to school at, in the 70s and 80s, three things prevented kids there from getting teased about that: (1)We had so many “After School Specials” about it, we probably were subliminally “guided” into learning the right behavior in this regard. (2)So many of the of the kids there were the bigger ones, and wouldn’t take any guff from anyone …. (3)We all soon discovered that life had too many other things to for us to be focused on/worried about, that we just plain said: “forget it!”…

Yes, but “May Be Seen” is a line of uuuuugglgy products… one must question the already questionable…uh… features of the wearer, to begin with. May Be Seen (not to be confused with Maybelene) is just that.. the product line’s name is a warning to any who may get too near, and to the wearer, that they should expect a looooot of questions, regarding their… uhm…. look….

“Is This Flip Really Necessary?”^Tiffany is well versed in the “Right Said Fred” school of “posing, prancing and preening”…. (i.e., “I’m Too Sexy”)…. reminiscent of the “Accurately Uttered Frederick’s Modeling Agency”… or even the Barbazon School….

Great advice Tiffany. Here is another one from my older cousin to me: When those girls tease you about your hair, say, “It’s my hair. It’s on my head, and I will do anything I want with it.” It was the middle sixties, I had waist length hair, and a couple of jealous girls kept telling me they didn’t like me because I wore my hair like a little girl, not like an eleven year old should. My cousin’s advice worked. Guys have told me that it wouldn’t work for them, so I guess it only works with girls.

I guess ole Tiff does have one or two slightly redeeming qualities.

The difference between that flip off and the one that involves one’s middle finger is that a child can’t get busted by her parents for doing Tiffany’s version.

Tiff and Luann actually like each other and work well together as long as there is not a boy involved. – Not a lot of people jumping on the Hate Tiffany Bandwagon today. ^Exactly. - She’s not giving any reason to, today… she (essentially by an extension of Greg)‘s got people “stopped in their tracks”, cos her strengths are being used efficiently, in a “more positive” way, and it’s a “win-win” for everybody in the strip: She, Lu and the kids….

Having just seen the traveling Broadway show “Wicked”, this hair flip scene is pretty funny today.

I also have 8.1 on my home computer, but my computer seemed that it was happy with the previous version… although it does seem a bit more streamlined in it’s processes (though I use the desktop screen as much as the “Windows Start” screen)…. – By extension, this same principle is also having Xbox 360 users steamed, with the issues that they tried to be slick with, to get people to buy “One”… - I think the real reason for 8.1 is only for the tablet, pad and phone users….

Anyway, the strip is a welcome change on at least 2 counts:1) it ends the tedium of Gunther & Quill,2) it shows some redeeming qualities of Tiffany.

Tiffany is giving good advice. Gunther, on the other hand, would tell the kid to bump into Amber repeatedly with her backpack, all the while saying every time that it was an “accident”. Then feel really proud about yourself afterwards, for being so “brave” towards a bully.

In that case the teaser would become the receiver because the teaser would be reguarded as uncool.

That would be an ideal game to have a halftime show by The Doobie Brothers.

Away from foolball and back to the strip— Luann is learning as well as the kids. Just look at her smile— be it about Tiff’s incipient skill or about learning how to “flip” without using fingers.*BTW, we dealt with "attitude in this morning’s Bible study and was told it was definitely NOT kosher for a Christian!

brdshtt: from yesterday, thanks for the info on French Lace roses…it sure sounds like how my remaining one looks when it blooms…I’ll check it out, it would really be great to have another one! :) To make this about Luann and Tiffany, she (Tiffany) actually seems to understand what that little girl is feeling…but still, her idea might not work with the girl since copying what Tiffany does doesn’t necessarily mean it will go over well with Amber…I always liked the sticks and stones ditty myself ;)

Re: the two teams that will play in the Superbowl…for Once I am actually going to watch the Superbowl…I like both teams (I tend to root (sp.?) for the underdog)…its refreshing to see these guys rather than the usual suspects…there will be a lot of sweet smoke rolling around that day, I think… I wonder if Greg has ever had a storyline about the dangers of drugs? It is a topic of importance as it is so widespread in our schools and universities… =-O
