I presume the lift is to keep the skiers safe until the beginning of the course; this way they have to ski to their car, and there’s no going back to stay safe.
Oh Cool: I haven’t been back to Chicago in a number of years. Choo Choo"s on the top of my list; so sorry I missed a repeat to The Mill Race Inn – it used to be so romantic and chick-like.
My first thought of course was that Nordic skiers don’t use lifts, the bears know this, (Wiley probably does too), but any moron getting on deserves to be: Shoooosh Kabob.

Oh, man….Wiley’s Book of Bears….That sounds like fun….Although his depictions of bears are priceless, it’s the attitude he gives them that kills me…Big dumb bears? Oh, no….. His are big, smart, sneaky, snarky bears….And always kind of cute in a burly way….

More fool you1 ALWAYS read the fine print. In this case, you’d know the BEARS placed the advert for the course.

Those other skiers didn’t become world-class.

It’s almost like those sushi bars where the little boats go around the counter.

no pork – the word form “human” in the language of a polynesian cannible tribe translates as “long pig.”

Why’s there a lift if it’s cross country? It’s easily done in both directions. Oh, I guess they’re just tourist and not doing it for exercise.

That explains it; no glasses with the skiis. If they hadn’t been so vain, they could have read the fine print.

Why do the bears in this strip always look so happy and contented?

I thought lifts were for down hill skiers. I’ve never know a cross-country skier to take a lift.
