Angus needs to give that lowly window clerk a raise and a promotion since he was the only one on the entire track smart enough to suspect a fixed race and report it.

There’s definitely something seriously wrong when there are so many payouts to a horse that was 30:1. If they do have a parimutuel system at that track, someone has been tampering with the odds calculations. In any case, I think Kolossal did himself in when he let the word spread that Quickdraw was a good bet. He should have been careful not to spread that word around.

Happy Easter fellow Tracy Fans! And with the exception of the Kentucky Derby and maybe a couple of others, Horse Racing is dead in this country. There are so many other sporting events out there, the poor horses got left out in the cold. With that said, this plot is starting to get interesting.

Angus suspects, Angus gets on the con, Kolossal is finished.—Or would Angus, who has shown a soft side before, give Kolossal one last chance to make things right? Would Angus’s daughter (if that is who the young woman was way back when we first saw the Scotsman) intervene on behalf of Kolossal? Naturally, a desperate gamer like Mr. K would only make things worse, much worse, possibly leading to his early demise….

What is so unbelievable about a 31-1 shot coming in at the track? It happens several times every racing day across the country, at those odds and higher. Heck, you’ve had a 99-1 shot win the country’s richest race with a worldwide audience in the Breeder’s Cup, never mind a rinky dink track like Angus’

Kolossal had best watch his step, although it may be too late for that. Things can get ugly in a hurry when the boss becomes suspicious of an underling. Chop, chop, chop!.

Apparently, you haven’t been reading the comments of the last few days. I even made a joke about it:

“Barney Google: a real ‘dinosaur’ of a search engine!”. .I’ve read everything the past few days, apparently my jest was wasted.

Yep, PuzzWhiz, you are absolutely right about the reason horses were placed here. I’d go one further, though! They produced the transportation mode for Hoppy, Cisco, Pancho, and the Lone Ranger. Without them, the cowboys could never catch the Injuns, who also were riding horses. And without horses, what would they run around the track at Churchill Downs? NASCAR racers? Without horses, what would Wendy’s put in their hamburgers? Nutria meat? Glad to have horses!

It wasn’t too long ago that they tattooed a race horse’s ID on his or her tongue to stop exactly what the strip just depicted. It’s kind of like the VIN on the dashboard behind the windshield. They may still do it. I dunno.

Nevertheless, the fact that whatever betting systems that are used at State-sanctioned tracks are Parimutual, and governed by State Commissions. I doubt that a major track could exist as an outlaw. But, I may be wrong! I’ve been wrong before – like I bet Matty that SDM wasn’t a member of MENSA. I lost the bet!

Thanks for the tip Gweedo, I’ll be sure to try that next time I attempt humour.
