This is not a hold up, now, empty your pockets!Funny, that sounds similar to what the IRS told me yesterday.

Now empty your pockets!Or what?Or we’ll slap you silly with our droopy sleeves! It may not hurt much but it will sure annoy and disorient you!

My guess is that the presence of Clive is going to prove beneficial here.

I got it! They’re emancipated mutts! They’re covered with robes and they’re wide-bottomed because they have mechanical bodies and probably wheels. Holly’s respect for Clive has probably saved everyone’s lives, or at least hers.

If it’s not a hold up, then they’re either:A- lying, orB- looking for something specific.

Y’know…the only guns I’ve seen so far are Wally’s blaster, the Topsider Zero guns, and those multi-shot guns the Security Rats carry. Now, what I know about guns wouldn’t fill a cartridge, but none of them looked much like a gun some sniper would use to drop anybody. Not for long-range targets. And what range would some sort of energy weapon have?

@Darwinskeeper: Then it sure took a long time for Marx’s action to come full circle. I think Coyoty called it on what they are.You sure it’s not a hold up, Jawas? (We know they’re not dittoes now, but ditto-whisperers…)

Seems to me that they are confronting either a race of midgets – or children. Maybe looking for candy?…

Oh look, the mouse brought us a casserole.

Their costumes cause me to suspect they are some kind of monks, detached from worldliness, and contemplating mental and psychic powers. The development of the psychic powers also enabled them to run off the dittos. Now, for some serious speculation. I suspect Jim and Sarah knew about these creatures, which is why Jim wouldn’t let Wally use his blaster on the other two apparent TopSiders, because these beings can sense negative energy, or firepower or whatever. It wasn’t until Wally fired his blaster and destroyed the zeroguns, which may have had brains, that this squadron appeared. Yes, there was one when the bridge fell/was dropped on them, but he got hurt when Wally blasted the zeroguns. Maybe the spy was hurt because the brains were destroyed, and that is why the entire squadron is there. They just want our crew plus two to empty their pockets to make certain they have no weapons, or potential weapons. Oh, and turn in your shoelaces too. And everything, we’ve seen MacGyver. Support your artist in the usual ways, and if neither I nor Level_Head post above the fold, you can back up a day or two to get the links. Sorry, I missed a couple of days, I picked up a bigger concussion Sunday than I thought. I am not a poet, but I can post links.

They may be some sort of mutant Jedi Knights who can use telekinetic powers to move objects and may be able to sense feelings and intentions, maybe even thoughts. I suspect they need something special to keep the dreaded TS away.Jim and Sarah might know something about these people but I always assumed that they had Wally keep his gun holstered because the Topsiders scanning gear would have picked up on it and they would have been more suspicious of the group. I figure that killing someone with your own hands would create a lot more negative energy than shooting them.

Can anyone explain what they mean by “plasticised brains”?Have they replaced the natural brain with a cyborg-type technology?
