I keep picturing Tiffany with pig blood all over her, reminiscent of “Carrie,” but I’m hoping Bernice doesn’t have that much resentment of her.

Except, of course, that we see the passage of the calendar year each year, and then it just repeats that same year several more times before moving on. So she went through the whole “It’s spring of my junior year, I had better start looking at colleges” at least twice before she was allowed to become a senior and finally make her choice (which, after all that, was not to apply to any of them).

Tiffany’s request of Bernice may sound a bit selfish (it is), but it is not at all unreasonable, especially in the Age of the Ubiquitous Selfie. But I am really unable to guess with any confidence what Bernice has cooked up with the Tiffster’s help. This could be fun!

Tiff talks like a man!

I see occasional comments about when Greg Evans will retire the strip. Hope it continues, Luann brings back memories of 40 years when I was in high school. And Brad reminds me of being in love and chasing my wife, until she caught me! I was devastated when Bill Watterson retired stopped illustrating “Calvin and Hobbes”. Now I just read the re-runs. My kids bought all of his illustrated books.

Tiffany wants to be discovered by a talent or modeling agent, and she will take every opportunity to make it happen. ~The plot thickens.

Mr. E. explained at a recent Q&A seminar that he just kept “re-setting” the year each time a new school year passed, so that there was no “passing”, etc. with each year… but this time, he said he decided to finally have her move on to a new phase in her life, which meant he had to graduate her from HS….

Like a “cut-scene” to “Great speech, Bern!”….with a quick Punch Line to end the dialogue in the last panel to have us still “guessing”….

I’d say Greg as done a masterful job of leading everyone to this point. Is that it? Is that all the “called it” speculations?

Wouldn’t it be great if this was Greg’s last strip just before retirement to shuffleboard, canasta, bocce and croquet?

I have been predicting a cartwheel for some time now.

ReallyBad suggested, “Tiffany will actually be very successful in life given her drive and will to succeed. Next to Delta she’s the most accomplished person in the school.” I imagine that Bernice, Rosa with Delta will succeed in an academic fields, and in Gunther’s case, he’ll receive an Oscar in costume design for a movie. They are exactly the kind of people who come to a reunion and are modestly impressive, even though they did not stand out in high school. As far as Tiffany goes, her accomplishments will include manipulation.

Then again, the “question in question” has so far made more appearances in the past month than “this is a comic strip!” Or any of our other famous “word/phrase wiskers”….

Bernice’s secret would have to be something that only Tiff could help her with, not any of her friends. Tiff is good at publicity and drawing attention to something. So Tiff must be planning to create some kind of scene during Bernice’s speech. Some kind of special effects.
