Ask the grocery guy. Ask the missus, Yay high^ or yay high— ? Google it before you shop, (Ounce to Litre converter). I used to think that way at his age, but now I enjoy learning new things.
If one day, Americans woke up and overnight, everything had magically converted to metric, within a month, people would be wondering how we ever lived without it.
Because if you want to work at NASA as a spacecraft engineer you need to learn to convert to the world wide unit system or crash another spacecraft on Mars ( $125-million Mars Climate Orbiter, anyone?).
Leaving the conversion of metric out of the argument, I go to the store knowing I need so many cups of something but the boxes, bottles, cans are all in ounces. Now I need to know 8 ounces in a cup. You need to know several conversions or how to ask your smart phone to do it for you. And Joe? you might marry someone who doesn’t cook and you’ll have to learn to cook to feed your food habit.
Have you ever tried to compare the soda bottles, which are listed in ounces usually 16.5 per bottle and the 2 L soda bottles? I know I know I should not be drinking soda. Point is you have to know that the two liter is 67 point something (escapes me right now) and compared those bottles 16.5 times 6 so – now you have to know multiplication! Hahaha
Oh… and the price per once (still used primarily)
Then decide to forget the soda and go buy mango juice, the biggest one you can afford. LoL

If you ever get married Joe. You will do whatever the Missus tells you to do and be happy about it.

If you’re single and living on your own for any period of time, yes, you will do shopping.

Except at the AutoZone. And at the local big box hardware store. And at the Best Buy. And … do I need to continue?

Most of the things you buy now days lists the amount in standard units, and in smaller print the amount in Metric units.

Ok. Here’s the thing. There aren’t ounces in a liter. There are milliliters.
