Actually, its hard to make money with less than a hundred SEATED folks. :) 100 empty chairs would be rather short on promise.

I tend to agree. And, I am wondering why it wouldn’t be safer and easier to keep running the original restaurant and revamp it instead?

I know several small intimate restaurants which are doing fine with three dozen tables.

Your vocation should be what you know and love best….Gene however hasn’t had the chance to find his calling….

first he is being sarcastic by asking the color of the curtains [as in you’ve got it all planned out!]. and then she responds literally to reflect back his sarcasm.

I think she is aiming at a more affluent clientele. Just like a bed and breakfast is different from a standard motel, her idea of a bistro is different from a standard high volume restaurant.

Go for it! Let’s see ML and Gene in Paris! It’s a cartoon, guys— a little dreaming is good.

Oh, ye of little faith! Mary Lou can make a go of it; she is a very hard worker, and despite what you might think, has a good business head. Gene, too, is willing to put effort into making their lives what they want. I say GO TO PARIS and decide on the color of the curtains!
