Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Thatâs what I figured yesterday. It knocked them off their feet, but they werenât very close to Kenyonâs house at the time. In fact, they were still close to the Silo house. It was a really big explosion, though. I love the art today. Apparently, Kenyonâs explosive is not stable at all! Thatâs what he was working on, I guess â making it more stable.
Someone new joined us, last night (" Mister Rogue Sgallery"):And said: âHello, gang! My first ever post here. Dick Tracy has forever been my favorite comic strip of all time. As for this current storyline, fantastic! A tag team of comic strip powerhouses in one story.âIâd like to say: âWelcome to the community!â(That was the first response I ever received years ago & it was from Mdstudio}. It made me feel welcome as I hope MrRogue will feel, too.By the way, Mdstudio, Iâve only seen 1 comment on this board by you lately. Hope you are OK!
Ouch! My ears are ringing. That was some instability, Mr. Warbucks!Time now to pick up the pieces, count heads, and see who is still (capable of) standingâŚ.
Good catch, Patrick! That is indeed a sword! So weâve accounted for Warbucks and Tracy. Asp and Punjab were close to the explosion, according to todayâs first panel. We still donât know about Sam and Fritz.
Reminiscent of the 1975 Concrete Head explosion (âShe Done Done Itâ). Same coloring. Hopefully the chopper with the automatic gunfire does not come next.
@Nun âYa Bidness:Iâm relatively new-ish to both Annie and Dick Tracy comics, less than a year,Thatâs very cool. What got you interested in Tracy? Was it the new material, or did you run across some reprints some where?
Methinks we will still need to take inventory of who survived the explosion. Im thinking Axel will go missing, but we will not find any evidence of his final resting place. (Cue Abner, Silver and Sprocket)
.Welcome to our little family. Iâm positive youâll find life in Tracyville rewarding, fulfilling and inspirational! Thanks for honoring us with your presence.
If you stuffed a Stradivarius with Kenyonâs explosive, would the resulting THOOM! be big enough to empty a hotel swimming pool? Show your workâŚ
@Wayne: might be time for a recap-and-move-on, or we might be moving deeper into the question of who the late Axel worked for, and what he wants with Tracy. This whole Annie story might be the set-up for an even bigger Tracy arc.
Just a hello to all the readers. the ANNIE story ends October 9, and the next two weeks are catchups on whatâs been going on with various cast members.
Great art, nicely handled by the GoComicsâ colorist (like the colorless shock waves â makes them stand out).-Now â to find Sam, Punjab and the Asp!
No NG I meant the reason they gave for Shuitter.. I mean Thun der Island being abandoned back in the 40âs was some sort of experiment gone wrong and they quarantined the entire island.. iâm sure the CDC would be interested in that, no?
It is definitely a sword. Zoom in on it. Make it as big as possible. It is definitely a sword. And not only that, but you can see Aspâs hat behind the other figure.
Gee, now weâre all set up for Ghote and Sail to return and âcloneâ Axel after he was blown to bits, too, lolâŚ..actually, itâs kind of cool how Mike and Joe âkill offâ their most interesting characters in a way that makes it viable for them to return, while leaving no doubts about the others that probably donât merit an encore with all the top grade competition for the villains roles. This comic has two gearsâŚ.great, and even greater!

Just to the right of the mailbox in panel #1, is that the tiny figures of a person or 2 being blown outward? Tracy & Warbucks?
PatrickDC202 over 10 years ago

Iâm really not worried about Asp and Punjab. Theyâve been in explosions before. For example, March 9, 2008.

Amazing what three days can do. Thereâs been more action since Thursday than thereâs been in WEEKS in this strip. Next week canât come too soon!

NightGaunt, Iâd imagine the CDC would show up too since the island was originally quarantined back in the day.

I canât see the figure holding a sword in yesterdayâs strip.

Iâm sure Axel survived the explosion. Couldnât be anymore difficult then Abnerâs dip in a cement pool!
