Up here, I have not seen a single Democratic ad that actually ENDORSED a candidate, but instead “flung mud” at the Republican candidates. I’ve hardly seen ANY Republican ads, either positive or negative. For the record, I’m an Independent.

Just because you are not aware of any such thing does not in itself mean it has not happened. It didn’t use to happen but it has on occasion the past few elections. And yes I have actually seen and some of those ads.

Sometimes it seems that the object of campaigns is to turn off as many voters as possible.

According to Snopes, something like this did happen in Virginia in 2008: flyers were circulated, complete with official-looking government logos, claiming that because of “high anticipated turnout” voting would be split across two days: Republicans and Independents would vote on Tuesday, while Democrats would vote on Wednesday.

Snopes does not say if the person/persons who created these flyers was ever identified.

You loose all credibility when you compare either Democrats or Republicans to the Nazis. You sound just like the pundits you say not to trust.

32 individuals contributed more money in the last presidential election than all other donors combined. That makes it seem like it is impossible for the middle class to have any say in what happens in this country. Nothing could be further from the truth. Those 32 people only have 32 votes. The Middle Class has millions………………………………………………………………………………The only thing that is going to save the Middle Class is the Middle Class. We are the 99%—- that means we have the votes to elect people who will actually represent middle class workers and provide a safety net for those who are trying to get into the middle class.We all need to know WHO is supporting the candidates. That is who they will be working for. They have no choice if they want to stay in office. You have to do the bidding of whoever is paying your way, just the same as we all do in our jobs. So, before going to vote, look it up on the internet. Open Secrets is a good site, but there are plenty ………………………………………………………………………………………….. If the candidate is getting their money from small donors or from unions, they are going to be working for middle class working people. If their donations are from corporations or from 1%ers, that’s who their votes are going to be working for. They are not going to go against them and do anything to help the middle class.It would be political suicide.

MItch McConnell (R-Ky)) just put out an official-looking mailer to try to convince gullible voters that they would be guilty of election fraud if they voted for his opponent.

I’d rather have an election with a low turnout, because that would mean the people who voted were highly motivated, and hopefully, highly informed.Not that I want to take the right to vote away from anyone, just wish they’d spend time doing research, instead of just listening to the ads and pundits.

What frustrates me is that this year all the politicians are saying to vote for them so they can oust Obama, but not much else. While I have my own complaints about Obama too, there’s more to running a campaign than saying you’ll fight against Obama, and in actuality, I’d like to see less fighting and more working together for a change.

I voted a couple of weeks ago here in Louisiana when we had early voting.

They changed the election rules this year. Republicans vote on Tuesday, Democrats vote on Wednesday.Just teasing, it’s an old joke.

As a very wise woman in my family (my MOM) reflected to Me nearly 40 years ago when I first voted.. If all the MONEY spent electing these self-centered Politicians were collected into an account and used to feed/clothe the destitute in our country, there would be NO Hungry or Homeless within our borders… (SORRY, now we give a large part of that excess to people that never earned and payed into our system, so THAT may not be effective anymore…)

Almost word for word the same as the ad the Republican Party ran here yesterday. Sadly, a LOT of rubes will fall for it.

THAT is a 100% lie. The sales here in Washington are closely monitored by the Liquor Control Board. The legal recreational stuff is about HALF the price (even after taxes) as the illegal, and the medical is about a third the cost of the legal recreational. As far as Oregon pot busts, Oregon has not legalized recreational cannabis yet. Comparing what happens there to what happens here is pointless.

We had to turn off the phone ringer because we were literally getting phone calls from “The Republican Party” every 5 minutes. I’ll be sure to vote Democrat this election for that reason alone.

Boy does this ever sound Republican. Just get out and vote on the right day and don’t listen to the turds. Flush them.

“Why Can’t We All Just Get Along?”

There was one debate on local network and the mediator has both candidates towards the end to say something nice about the other candidate. The Democrat had positive words the older Republican felt he was eating crow and could hardly say anything nice only say nice suit. Tues will be full fledge commercials. Then over with.

I won’t be able to vote. I’ll be busy taking care of my nephew all morning, then I have to get ready for work.
