No house picture, but the window has totally changed. the panes are now divided, and there is a valance across the top. You can go to your well earned rest now, VB.

He’s just shooting out the rest of the window. Who could blame him?

Is the window levitating in the last panel?

In his unerring fight for justice Dick Tracy managed to kill the paper boy , the milk man and three stray cats in what historians would come to call the great Napervill massacre

Hair trigger,,,or more like a “Hair Brain”…

In Panel Two the window appears to be broken in the lower left quadrant. Then in the next panel, it appears the hole has moved to the right.

Unless that’s not the hole, and what we’re actually seeing is the muzzle flash from Dick’s gun?

Crime stoppers textbook :

While taking moonlit strolls through suburban neighborhoods beware of gun crazed homeowners shooting out their windows , be prepared to seek cover and phone police quickly in this situation..

I would say thats the muzzle flash since the rest of the window is black with stars and that parts white . Dick may be shooting out another window doing even more damage to his home while Wayne and Garth make their getaway in the pacer

Tracy is stupid?

I don’t think sef-defense is a valid reason to shoot someone who is throwing rocks at you…

That annoying six-year-old from next door won’t live to see seven.

I think that’s the break in the window, made white to contrast with the black night out the rest of the unbroken glass.

Well, Tracy just fired his token shot for this “adventure” so rest assured there will be no gun play from here on out. Don’t the police have to fill out reams of paperwork any time they even draw their guns, let alone fire them? What is he going to use as an explanation for his actions? Thank goodness he didn’t have access to a machine gun. There goes the neighborhood. I wonder if Tracy’s neighbors, including the professor, Hi Octane, or whatever his name was will bother to file complaints with the department over his conduct?

Notice he’s shooting left-handed. Maybe that’s so that if he does hit someone, and there’s an investigation, any police department stupid enough to have him on the payroll is going to be stupid enough to do the paraffin test only on his right hand.

How does he know that it’s a rock? It seems to be something rectangular wrapped in paper & taped or yesterday’s bread slice morphed into a dented toaster.

Tracy pulled his Gun and screamed WHO?

He squeezed off a few shots in fury as the rock throwing vandal bolted back into the Blue Police box which instantly vanished.

Next time muttered Tracy, next time…

good one, dick!— blast away, maybe it’s some neighborhood kid who deserves a bullet in the head

Actually, it looks more like the rock is held together with random pieces of tape.

Since this is obviously NOT the slice of bread that came through the window in yesterday’s strip, it appears Tracy’s window has been shattered twice. Will yet a third object shatter the window in tomorrow’s strip? Stay tuned…

Where’s the “BLAM”? There should be a gun shot sound.

FlightSuit warned Tracy about shooting in the night, and the possible consequence of being placed on indefinate “administrative leave”.

Methinks, he is already serving out time on a “similar” charge, note how he’s always at HOME. He definitely never goes to work in the morning ! (?)

In panel 2, Tracy’s fingers are all the same length! Sign of Down’s Syndrom? A wonder he can fire a gun! :)

There seem to be some here who question if Tracy’s house has changed. And it certainly seems so. Here is what it looked like in the Queenie story in 2007.

Struggling to come up with new ideas still ? Wallowing in repetition ?

How did the rock end up so close to the window, did it bounce off a wall or something?

On April 2 Sydney wrote: “…the next adventure which will start on April 11. It’s a tale with THREE, ”FAMILIAR” sequences !) How did you predict that so accurately? I know that there does not seem to be any new thought given to DT’s storyline, but you were so on target.

Everytime Brozman draws those broken windows the smashed area is in a different place. Sometimes from one panel to the next. Like in 2 and 3 today ! - While yesterday the broken area was in the middle of the two upper panels.

Then someone asked IF Tracy was in his USUAL house (?)

I think in the near past he used to rent Dick Locher’s residence, ever since he got transfered to the “Naperville PD”. But perhaps he has moved home and is now renting Jim Brozman’s house.

That’s one “EXPLANATION” for all the unusual changes.

I don’t think Tracy has fired (yet). The white splotch is the damaged window, drawn and colored very poorly. It’ll probably be easier to tell tomorrow when we see all the same things in color.

I can only imagine how Tracy would have reacted if some1 threw a Molotov cocktail thru his window, he probably would have had a machine gun aimed at them!

Tracy didn’t shoot yet, at least from what we can tell from today. He is holding the gun and pointing it out the broken window. There is nothing to suggest he shot the gun.

Nothing except for what appears to be a muzzle flash from the front of his gun. If that is the broken pane, it got up and moved from the lower left hand corner of the window between panels 2 & 3. And why is he drawing his gun? Surely the dolts who threw the rock are long gone by now.

It’s not a real gun. It’s a flashlight shaped like a gun…and there’s some sort of diffuser on the end to make it look like a muzzle flash.

Trouble here for sure, if it was in the real world. I seem to remember that police officers have to account for gun discharges, and be prepared for heavy grilling if the explanation doesn’t make sense to the higher-ups. This one is going to want some ‘splainin’, if I’m not mistaken.
