We tried dissecting in either 7th or 8th grade. But I got a dull X-Acto knife (which the teacher would not replace even though I pointed out its inability to slice into the frog’s skin); so I wound up with a frog that looked more like roadkill than a scientific specimen.
If the frog has rigor mortis then pinning a limb is easy, pinning the second, third and fourth can result in a similar attitude to the cartoon. The first pin comes out whilst you are pinning the second or third. Sometimes you can get to the fourth and all the previous three come out. It’s all very annoying.
