You know, the salmonella might get killed if it was cooked well, but if the chicken developed a little botulism growth, well that takes more heat, pressure, and a longer cook time. My recommendation is always, if in doubt, throw it out, and that’s my recommendation to Earl and Opal right now.
I’m glad to see I’m not the only one grossed out. I can’t even read about or look at them eating that chicken without grimacing and saying “eww”.
Even if it wasn’t soapy, (which I am certain it was not), Earl would still have something to say. That’s just the way he is. I would throw in additional comments, such as, Hon, can you get me some stuffing out of the dryer, or , As soon as my pants are done on the stove I’m going to put them in the refrigerator.
Temperature above 165℉ then slowly cooled.Try it, you’ll like it.Not so sure about the borax, though. Not really using soap in a dishwasher, methinks.

P.S. @ Susan Shineshine. Very funny! I wish I knew how to do those graphics. Middle aged housewife with very basic computer skills.

Remember, folks, this is a stunt performed by experienced “toons” — don’t try this at home!

Ew, they ate it after it was left out all night?
mpeet611 over 10 years ago
I would never eat anything that was in the dishwasher all night. I’m hoping the chicken soup doesn’t send them to the ER.

Well, the recipe did say “Use 1 cleaned and plucked chicken…”

The secret ingredient in the recipe is “Jet-Dry”.
