Hang on Kid, Holly needs to reload, .45 cal apron please. How do we know Jim is dead? last we heard of the maniacal tanooki was AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!Not AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHGGGGGGGGGGGGKKK!That aside, some of us may have had hopes we would see a speedy resolution for the Holiday or at least a reunion.“Have a Holly Wally Christmas! It’s the best time of the year!”…“Forgive me Saint Burl for I have punned.”I wish a very Merry Christmas to all and a Happy “Chakka Khan” to my fellow Yid’s (that old joke still cracks me up!)OY!
A fixation on wearing the same clothing may be part of the toonification theme of the mutagen. The designer appears to have tried to turn people as much into toons as possible, with the damage resistance and psychological blind spots about their own natures. Jim’s neck trick and resistance to punishment may be an aspect of toonification the mutants haven’t encountered yet, and he may survive the gas and his injuries like a toon.At some point mutants may be able to pull things out of thin air like Marx does. They just don’t know how much like toons they are or how to use their abilities yet. If the mutagen is nano-based, they may learn how to control it as they learn how to control the dittos.
I like the dialogue between Coyoty and Cheapskate. That the toonification is behind some of those aspects. Also “grittings” as Calvin said, of the season!
Curious, Holly feels “half dressed” without her apron, I think she looks sexy without it. Still I understand force of habit at least as well as most people. Besides, it does tend to be VERY useful, beyond using it to gag Jim while she gnawed his fingers off, she has used it to carry Clive and as a sling. Having another one may be a good idea.

Heh. Aaron uses Holly to lampshade how much he hates to change a character’s clothes once he’s gotten used to drawing them in a certain way. ;)

For what it’s worth, I’m still bummed that Jim got killed off.

Love Chic and Irving’s “bug-eyed” expressions over the edge of the hamper in panel 3.

Not to be picky, but strange how this “forgotten” laundry shoot has a full basket of clothes under it..
