Ages ago I went to see a demo of an EMT trainer (based upon either an Amiga or an Apple computer ā and note the lack of Roman numeral with the Apple; it may have predated the Apple II). The demonstrator admitted as to how she never reached the hospital with a live patient; pt always died en route. So we fired up the demo and, having seen a lot of āEmergency!ā (it was still in first run on NBC at the time), the first thing I did was stop the bleeding. Demonstrator allowed as to how sheād never thought of that. We got the pt to the hospital alive; she said it was the first time sheād seen it done. And she seemed very sincere in her reactions.
