Well, they are kind of expressive, as to who they are….one thinks “in black”, and the other wasted toner trying to show they were “toned”… – And in a way, they’re both unique- it’d be pretty hard to accuse anyone of “copying” off of their work, considering one of them is opaque, and the other one actually is a bunch of copies…

For a guy with so much stubble on his face, the jock has so little body hair. I think he must be waxing.- Or manscaping.. hehe

The color of Luann’s chair is one color before she sits in it, but the piece of it you can see after she sits is another color. This means absolutely nothing, but it is the kind of thing people comment on!

When my daughter started Art school, At CCAD, she had to turn in a self portrait for public display the first week of classes. So, she did a colored pencil drawing of herself in the ‘negative’. We took a picture of it with real film and the negative of the picture came out as a positive… that was pretty cool. This was back in the fall of 2000 before digital photography became the standard it is today.

This is a Test.

I think the guy on the right might be a good match for Tiff, they can see who gets to a mirror first.

Yeah, probably. To me, the idea of waxing/manscaping or whatever it may be being called at the moment seems so utterly pointless and rather obsessive. Hell, I hate shaving my face, and gave that up many, many decades ago when I was 19 (except for a grudgingly done, once a week trimming at my neckline).

As a professor myself, the student’s behavior is not all that far fetched. While most students do not behave in the fashion of Semi-Goth guy nor Semi-Jock guy…. there is a 1-3% WHO DO behave in ways akin to what we see here. We professors tend to remember these exceptions to the rule rather ruefully throughout our careers.

I was momentarily shocked to find that we had (collectively) married Luann off to Elmo – er- Eldon. No doubt she would have led an interesting life, but I do think something just a bit more routine suits her better. But… I wonder if the collective “we” didn’t go a bit overboard on “routine.”?

as i said, you projecting……… lot of extremely rich people who can travel all over the world and have adventures feel unhappy while the girl that lives in a very small farm with her husband and 2 kids in west Virginia lives a life that makes all of them very happy

so you think, you don’t know if she is happy being a teacher, you don’t know what job Q has, you don’t know if they travel all the time on vacations to Australia and all over the world, you assuming someone in a suburb must be a walmart associate or something like that and not have a good paying interesting job, you seem to be the type of person who dislikes shows with a family like one in full house but love the idea of a family like one shown in Dynasty

during the Aaron era, he was shown as “too full of himself” and Lue did not know him as a person deeply, and at those times I preferred Gunther to him ………. Elwood has been shown to be a “got the money, you better love me” attitude while Q actually brings the best of Luann, the only one I would consider besides him is Ben

Elwood must have thought that Luann was worth the climb. Either way, she looks too tired for just 43. At least, in the first picture, she finally acquired lips.

Luann has more initiative and/or smarts than her art classmates at Pitts CC! When was she last (if ever) the “brains” of her class?!

I guess we had to wait a week (or was it two) for this. Hopefully Luann will get some positive feedback on her work from Zebo.

Actually, that last one reminds me of one I neglected… “Sharpie Dressed Man” (♫)

Using the “wide mouthed expression” cue, I’d say “B”. A lot of times, a person is “depicted” as happy, with a smile. The wider (or more open) the “more” happy they’d seem. – But to be honest, a lot goes on in one’s “house” behind the “windows and doors”, no matter how open they may be. So you never know- “A” could be just as happy, if not more….

It obvioulsy was a conscious effort by Mr. Evans to make “B” seem brighter and happier, but I’d also put forward the notion that a relaxed countenance could equal “contentment”, from a lot of “living” having been done… – But the fact that we know Elwood in the manner that he’s depicted would seem to also influence us (probably even the Evanses, too) to feel that she wouldn’t be as “happy” there…

Sometimes people put on a “brave face” to make sure that they don’t seem like a bitter person, but all the while could feel as though they are having to wear a constant façade…

I don’t know about how other people see it, but if we go “depth or strength of character” (not time it has been part of the strip), Quill has more than Aaron (so much that I preferred G to Aaron, but I prefer Q over G for Luann), and Aaron never grew, while Brad of now is so much more grown up than Brad of 1985 ……….. Quill I saw as a combination of the best of Aaron(looks and such) and Best of Ben, as Quill knows what he is but does not allow that to go to his head(like Aaron and Tiff) and he thinks of others and not just of himself

I wasn’t taking it down out of a “change of heart”, I took it down, because I thought that maybe at that point I was saying the right thing at the wrong time and wanted to make sure that I wasn’t just “speaking in the wind”. You had taken it down. Argy thanked you, and I I wanted to make sure I wasn’t “keeping the fires burning” on a matter that was being “squashed” (by the picture being taken down). I was also wondering “if he took it down”, did I myself misunderstand his post? I kept checking back before the new strip posted. When you posted afterwards, it confirmed that I didn’t get it wrong… but everything happened at the same time, and then this misunderstanding….

Why is it I think the but job prof is going to give an F to Luanne and really like the other two.
