Calvin: "Look! A trickle of water running through some dirt!" Calvin: "I'd say our afternoon just got booked solid!"

Let’s see that happen in the sink.
A satisfying afternoon, good entertainment!!
Bill Watterson will always be grateful to his parents for moving from Washington DC to a small town in Ohio, and so will the readers of C&H.
Mom best get the wash machine and bath started STAT!
California would be jealous…
Yes, fun! Assuming that’s water.
Yup. Better than any video game!
Tigers’ got knees!
So happy with a trickle of water!!
Calvin has found a diversion, and soon so will the water.
Why did I want to grow up
So, who grew up? Nobody here anyway…
Maybe a next door neighbor was watering some freshly potted plants, and didn’t turn the water off completely.
Now I ask you, who has never done that?
Definitely! My fondest childhood memories are of exploring tiny streams and even irrigation canals.
Some of my fondest childhood memories are of catching tadpoles in a stream like that in the neighbor’s back yard.
I was bored until I saw the trickle of water. DAM!
Always kept me occupied for hours!
Love hobbes smile !!! muaah!!
Ditto. A place called Pleasant Swamp (fer real!) in the Chicago suburbs.
‘Cuz you didn’t know, son. Ya jist didn’t know…
Hope that’s not from a leaking septic tank!(our local streams had something called craw-dadsthat turned up once in a while plus mud-cats)
When I was quite young, my parents bought me a magnifying glass with a blue plastic handle.
On a bright sunny day, I would go outside and chase ants with the sun’s focus using the glass.
Some of you may find it sadistic; but for me and a few friends, the sounds and smells were quite releasing!
I’m feeling the need for some release right now! I wonder if they still sell magnifying glasses? Maybe I can find one with a blue plastic handle…
I used to watch raindrops on the window and I liked to see them ‘race’ each other down the window.

An entire childhood encapsulated in two panels. Ah, those were the days!
Calvin just found the Colorado River!
Took the words.
