It’s old “John is the third child” joke, except this time it’s not Elly making the joke to Connie or Annie. This sort of husband put-down is popular among wives-——————————————-I read this strip every day, and don’t remember ever seeing one with Elly calling John a child. On the other hand, your comment makes me wonder what your wife calls you…
Wikipedia has a term for that, “kidult”, which means an adult that cant stop living in the past, or a father who enjoys the aspect of fatherhood such as spending quality time with his kids, but has trouble with the responsibilities of the patriarchy.Example of this was Robin Williams in “Mrs. Doubtfire” (when he was out of drag). He was a good father, but not a good husband. He liked to have fun with his kids, but had a hard time laying down the law, which is what led to the divorce in the movie.
I read what you posted and am not seeing where Elly calls John a child, though Lynn implies it. Are there strips where Elly calls or refers to John as a child?
I say there are comics where the joke is John is shown as a child,…
No, you didn’t. You said this earlier:

Find a comic where Elly makes those sorts of jokes or references to Connie or Annie rather than trying to turn other people’s comments into diatribes to cover for your attacks on Elly.
Wow, you sure do make up a lot of nonsense to cover yourself, but whatever. If that’s how you feel, fine. Sorry that you’re so easily offended. You can keep your head.
Right, because emotional responses that include calling someone a “filthy liar” and “seriously deluded” is the grown-up way to defend meaningless padding while calling it “facts with proof.” Thank you for clarifying that.
I don’t know what your kids did to deserve being compared to an online stranger, but their responding to your claims with “fine” and “whatever” shows they know how to distinguish reality from your BS. Your kids seem smart, you should be proud.

Mine does all the time. He is quite proud that he “never really grew up”. Driving me crazy is just an added bonus.
