    I see Jim’s blood is still fresh enough for them to track it along their nice clean floor.

    But is that REALLY Jim’s blood? I don’t know very much about blood, but I imagine some time has passed since Holly chewed off his fingers and I wouldn’t think it would still be wet enough to track. It makes me wonder what has happened to our schismed raccoon man. Has he survived the gas and is now running around lizardopolis formenting chaos? Is he dead and has been dragged off by somebody else to be used for some other purpose? Do the lizards have coffee down there? Enquiring minds want to know.

    You know, I think Kirby’s a keeper. There’s something to be said for having an eternally-cheerful airhead around :P.

    They just ran right across and through a trail of fresh blood. Since Jim’s blood should be drying by now, I speculate that this is fresh and therefore Jim is still bleeding, which should logically lead to his death.

    The only question is how long it’s going to take.

    Curious no one mentioned Kirbee still has Holly’s apron on her shoulder……that item at the bottom of page 4 is interesting……a broken lantern?As for the fresh blood…..remember this is in real time probably been maybe an hour since all this began. It takes a month or so to panel it out.

    “I’ve always been lucky like that.” — That’s usually the sort of ironic phrase that signs your death warrant in a work of fiction.

    Mutant blood doesn’t HAVE to coagulate like regular human blood… And, that’s a LOT of blood. Jim’s body has to be working overtime trying to keep him alive like this.

    I noticed the blood was on Chic’s foot, he definatelynoticed. I need to turn up the brightness on my computer to really see it .N ight Gaunt, can you say more about the brain not regenerating? I need to think about that. If it did then people wouldn’t be damaged from head trauma. I haven’t thought about this before, so it is true, it doesn’t but don’t know where you going further with it.

    And I lost something when I got a concussion. Plus, by the time I got home, (several hours at hospital) the blood I bled on the carpet was still not dry, so,I don’t know about concrete, but what was on the tile was dry but the carpet must have had a lot soak in.that is my limited Knowledge about blood.

    I am sure that Jim is still alive, and because he is we have the place totally on fire. I just hope that Jim get to have his revenge on Sarah before the colony is totally destroyed.

    On blood loss…well, I’ve freaked out people when I’ve had nosebleeds…but I’ve suffered from them all my life so it’s no big deal to me. I know how to deal.I also like to say, over some of the things I’ve seen, that “I’ve lost more blood than that shaving.” [Long-ago lift from "Hogan’s Heroes.]

    Re “Our deepest fear…”

    Thank you for correctly attributing that to Marianne. So many misinformed (lazy?) poster/bloggers have attributed it to Nelson Mandella because he used it in a speech but failed to give Marianne credit. One of my pet peeves!

    “Eww…” ::scrape scrape::

    “So, Chic, you actually fought the crazy raccoon and beat him?”

    “Uh, yeah… You could say I wiped the floor with him.”They treated Chic respectfully every after.

    We have seen evidence that the virus has some effect on the mind and probably the brain, instincts. Remember when Wally and Holly were at the bridge (The Ballad of Holly and Wally) and they talked about instincts, which were freaking Wally out. Holly’s answer was to own those instincts, starting with a little game of cat and mouse. From Holly’s love of cheese to a local rooster crowing, many mutants in Endtown have instincts, it seems likely that they were added by whatever caused the mutation.
