Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
P1 – No wonder Collin is getting hit hard. He’s trying to pitch with back spasms.P2 – The late James Stewart makes a cameo appearance as Gil.P3 – Tru(e) can’t find the plate? It looks like a strike from here.
Bitsy, Chip and kdizzle, thanks for getting my morning off to a laughing start. Wearing baseball pants doesn’t suit Gil. That Howitzer in P1 is going to behead Collin, Mike and GilPa.
True’s never pitched before, so Coach of the Year Gil is going to have him pitch in every game. He’ll be a seasoned veteran by playdown time.By the way, Tommy John surgery doesn’t affect a players ability to throw a football, does it?
It’s no wonder True can’t find the plate, it looks in P3 like it’s covered with a few inches of dirt(unless the catcher is as far away from the plate as the invisible umpire). Maybe Gil can get Steve Luhm to double up on his duties to include being head groundskeeper.
Milford suffers its first loss, Tru(e) sucks. Time for him to get some advice from Boo and become a star again? And speaking of stars, today’s Mopped Up Thorp has a special, but unseen famous guest star.I think most of us oldsters are familiar with the cartoon, but here is a link to the whole episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TN0cNy5qAFg
Not to criticize the art…………. but, note how the baseball in panel one is lined up exactly the same way as panel three. The seams are in exactly the same position.

Are we still at Jefferson, or is this in the next game?

Collin, buddy, that thing on your left hand is a glove. Use it. You’re not playing dodge ball in gym class. You look like Charley Brown out there.
Oh and catch, nice job protecting the family jewels but its sure gonna hurt when that pitch hits you in the throat.

I’m channeling my late grandmother here: “Gil, pull your shoulders back! You look like a question mark!”

Get Hoss Cartwright to coach True. Hoss could always find the plate.

In fairness to Tru(e), it’s hard to throw strikes when not only the plate but also the batter are invisible.

At least Collin’s clothes didn’t go flying off, like Charlie Brown’s.

Tru(e), Women weaken legs, and apparently arms as well.

Oh where, oh where has home plate gone? Oh where, oh where can it be? With a plot line short, and the draw out long, oh where oh where can it be?
