Then they’d be called Marvel Movies (and DC Movies) instead of Marvel Comics (and DC Comics).

Likewise, I’ve never been able to figure out how they managed to get all those Civil War battles to happen at National Parks! One would think…

Yeah, it’s SO weird! It’s not like they would make a movie based off of a book!(sarcasm)

I would kick Peter out of my store for saying that. I’d give Jason a neat discount, though.

SHRIEK! The word “hell” appeared in a family comic strip! Offense! Indignation! Fear! Outrage! Paranoia!

It was part of another word, the same as writing out “shell”, so it slipped past the censorbots.

They have been making movies out of comics for years. It just that a majority of people didn’t know the origin of the work. Take Tom Hank’s and Paul Newman’s (his last movie?) movie, “The Road to Perdition” I believe the name was. For you snobbish folks, sorry, that was a comic book too.

Great, now Jason will have to explain to Peter that the comic books came BEFORE the TV shows and the movies. Talk about a role reversal.

I have trouble believing that a high-school boy is that dense with respect to comics. But then, I once had a minor argument with a guy who got hold of a novelization of the film “Rocky” and proclaimed that it proved his point that there were no original films, that all films were derived from books.

Sgt. Rock is a DC property. It was the Howling Commandos, minus their leader Nick Fury (you can figure out why) that was in Captain America and Agent Carter.

On another note, Peter forgot Green Arrow.

I’m pretty sure that was the Howling Commandos in Captain America.Sgt Rock is a DC Title along with Superman & Batman..And, yes, way back when, they did a couple Batman/Sgt Rock guest appearances..
