Waking up to a tiger six inches from your nose might just be better than Dr Toon’s Nuclear Coffee™, even if that tiger is your friend. The time between instinct and knowing.

Calvin was alarmed without having to set one.Seeing Hobbes like that, first thing in the morning, was a real eye-opener.

A cute story about a young boy who accidentally left his Hobbes doll behind at a waiting area at the Tampa Airport. The airline people found it & did a photo journey around the airport with it & presented the photo book & Hobbes back to the boy when he returned from his trip.

Once I visited my son, he lived in an other city and I had to spend the night there. He had two cats. I had to sleep with them in the living room on the couch. All night long the cats made gymnastics on the back-rest and started than to fight. I feared, they would grasp down with their paws and scratch my face. I couldn’t close one eye this night and drove home the next day!!

When a real cat does that, it is time to go to the food dish.

I had a girlfriend in LA with two cats: Mother-cat and Son-cat.The Son-cat had decided I was competition for the attentions of his girl-mistress.So when I slept in while she went to work, he would catch me exactly like Hobbes. I never thought I could ever be afraid of a cat! But that one really did it, at least the first two times… :)

Anyone who has had animals in the house knows about being wakened to a pair (in my case several) of eyes.

It’s hard to be mad at someone who misses you while you’re asleep.
