Honeymoon does look cute with that new hairstyle.

Wonder if Annie will open up a can of Punjab-sized whup-ass.

Annie’s looking a bit more in the vein of Ted Slampyak’s rendition today.

OK, big mistake here. BIG mistake…

If T.J. and Bev would like a similar hairstyle, I’m sure Mysta would be happy to provide it. Of course, there would be a charge.

“What is it now, TJ?”Sounds like Honey’s had run ins with TJ before. Sparks are gonna fly!

Annie’s always been able to hold her own in a verbal scrap …

And one for Mike and Joe …

I suspect we’re going to see Honeymoon let loose without meaning to or really knowing how, which could have awkward consequences.

Bev is putting on her best “tough guy” look in panel 3, while big-mouthed, flat-headed {hint, hint} TJ handles the verbal assault. But they are picking on the wrong red-headed girl with the curly locks and her friend with developing powers far beyond those of any ordinary mortal [influenced by seeing Superman in AnyFace’s post]. This, however will surely be only a preliminary skirmish in a developing war….

Think T.J.’s gonna get it.

“The Cardinal” is one of the few overtly Christian superheroes and firmly against bullying—see his own strip.

OK Two things,,,

1) I adore Honeymoon’s outfit—it really seems like she’s embracing the Moon side of her life

2) Being a staunch Midwesterner…Shouldn’t the Cardinal’s logo and costume be …i dunno…RED?

I think someone is in for a little shock…

Sigh I sure miss the Dick Tracy comic strip. Sadly it seems to have joined Winnie Winkle.at the comics graveyard! Hopefully they’ll bring it back one day.

That makes sense, as cardinals (… The Birds) are red.

Doctors have said there’s nothing more they can do for my B.I.L. George. He’s too weak for chemo. His wishes are for hospice care at his apartment. It’s so frustratingly sad. Still trusting God for a miracle.

Looks like a subplot about bullying is going to start. I hope Honeymoon handles it well.

Too bad the Asp isn’t lurking nearby.

I have big ears and was made fun of for that when I was a kid. Especially when I was young, the shame was something I did not forget. I cannot remember myself being that way ever, and when I became big enough to take care of the ones that were shamed as I was … I did.

The funny thing about that is the bullies in our neighborhood either grew up to become losers or died or ended up in jail and some really had to suffer all sorts things..I ended up with the kindest, prettiest, sweetest, green eyed girl that any guy could ever hope for..As Pap used to say … “poetic justice” … wouldn’t ya say?

Well, that brought back memories, of my high school, junior year. As I grew older, I understood my enemies and was able to forgive them. But the girls appear to be the same as I was back then.

[sighs] “All this has happened before, and all this will happen again” was never truerer.

It’s just my opinion but Annie & Honeymoon are as cute and classy as can be while TJ and Bev … well, are not.

TJ don’t know who’s she’s messin’ with..

So I just realized – no mention of Sandy yet.

UPDATE ON MY SONS FATHER IN LAW. They took him off of sedation. The doctor asked him to open his eyes, wiggle his toes and squeeze the nurses’s hand. He coulded do any of those. He is still on the respirator.

My thoughts and prayers are with your ailing family members and all the members of your families that it affects.

I am a very compassionate person and wish the best to the ailing loved ones of posters here. But in fairness to everyone, if a poster chooses to slam this strip, that post is fair game for a reply regardless of the circumstances in the posters personal life…….also, yeah to me, the past few days has veered a little too far off what people reading “Dick Tracy” should expect; there’s plenty of other comics dealing with that “mean girls” scenario. But it IS only a few days; doesn’t mean the whole strip has declined into the abyss some make it out to be……lot of overreactions here today…..

I remember some time ago that Honeymoon was equipped with a Wrist-Wizard. And if I remember correctly, it had a Tazer on it. And if she persists, Annie and Honeymoon can ask TJ about HER hairdo after 27,000 volts passed through.

True.

That wasn’t quite the intent of what I meant to say though. [I’d not worded it well.]

It was revealed during Mike & Joe’s run that Frizzletop – Originally an unrelated character in Gould’s tenure – Is a cousin of Flattop.

Given the almost immediate speculation on these boards that TJ might be short for T. Jones – As in “Flattop Jones” – Well, it seemingly gave Mike & Joe’s invocation and use of the name Frizzletop a bit more heft and significance in context.

But it might just be coincidence.
