Quill: There's so much excitement in new york! especially in the theater world! Quill: I felt incredibly stimulated and plugged in! All my senses were super focused and alive!! Quill: Oh, sorry. need help?
There’s that cutle little face Luann makes (8^9) when she’s focused or in a big task…. – In fact…at this rate, she’s become a “fire fighter” twice … and at least passed her “postal worker” test…. – Quill really is a good actor! He timed his “excitement” to a nearly “flawless” degree, so much so, until it wasn’t much else to put into the hatch…
All his senses were focused and alive, except his common sense. THAT sense would have reminded him that his luggage might be a bit heavy and he should help…
“Case Worker”“Burden Of Proof”“Weight A Minute”“Chug-A -Luggage”“Absent-Mindedness Makes Her Muscles Grow Stronger”“There Are No Small Parts!…Except For This One…”“Senseless And Sensitivity”“Freedom For The Stallion” “Still In New York”“Samsonite And Delilah”or“Loading….Please Wait”
@The Airman – Tiffany’s dorm room. Of course we are all supposed to wonder. Maybe Gunther got a green light but couldn’t respond (one way or another). Tiffany’s not one to assist. Probably Dez would assist – but Tiffany with nothing on under her robe is ever so hard to replace…
Moment of Truth: Does Quill’s vision of NY include Luann? They would have to try very hard to figure how both of them could get a place. I don’t want to see Luann wind up with Gunther. The Tiff & Gunth arc was really inspired.
Quill doesn’t realize what he’s doing by talking about NYC so much. If he upsets Lu, things might change. I hope not, but i have to wonder if this is leading toward a break up between them, even if only short term?
“… I’ve read that abbreviation is now out of vogue …”^Well, at least in that regard, I’ve tried to keep “ahead of the curve”… switching up with one or the other… – Poor Lol Creme (of 10cc), though….
I don’t know how much longer I can stand this testosterone free zone where everyone has romantic feelings and avoids any possibility of acting on them. You just know that Luann is going to drive Quill straight home and later lament that they never have any time alone.
For something that is very heavy, the best thing for your back is to lift with both hands from the bottom of the box or package, and make sure that you lower yourself down to it, don’t bend down and pull up with your lower back. Using your legs is best, and to do that, you can’t just use the handles.
Speaking as someone with years of bad arthritis in my back….
Greg usually can pull a “twist” out of left field to make even the most mundane starts become interesting. Perhaps, forgotten in the Gunther/Tiffany roar was Frank’s 5K Mud Run. It was fun and could have been explored with a little more length and detail…..it was like Basic Training for a semi-senior citizen trying to recapture the good old days. I can only imagine what it would have done to an old fart, like me.
With Q on cloud 9 (by himself) I see some possible rough road ahead between the two. Q has had a life and career influencing experience and Luann was not part of. it. Q will want to talk about his experiences; Luann will likely be jealous and only care about going to NYC with him.
Why are y’all slamming Quill for being excited? Wouldn’t you have expected him to be after his first visit? I admit, he should have been more attentive to Luann after being gone, but…geez…I’t the big apple.
For all who are certain that the next step is into jealousy over Quill’s prudence (or lack thereof), or his career progress, a step in a different career direction…
Scream, PuzzleWhiz? Scream? The last male I saw scream was Nathan Lane in Birdcage. So get off the pot, you’re not the designated authority on interpreting what the artist intended. It is not your place to “explain” anything to anyone in this group.

Your super focused sense of hearing will probably pick up the quiet whimper when she falls over and the suitcase breaks her fingers.

You can help Luann, Quill, by taking her to the chiropractor after she finishes putting your luggage in the car trunk.
gromit82 almost 9 years ago
Why did Quill need so much luggage? For a trip of this length, Imelda Marcos could probably have packed more lightly.
Mikel V almost 9 years ago
It is Luann we are talking here, not David Finch. But, it would be an interesting twist, of course
MathProf2 almost 9 years ago
Clearly we’re headed for Luanne-Gunther. Quill will gradually offend more and more, and Luanne will feel compelled to rescue Gunther from Tiffany.
Airman almost 9 years ago
Okay, day 3 of this arc and my only question is: what went on (or came off) in Tiffany’s dorm room?

Wouldn’t Quill have said “Theatre” rather than “Theater” ?
Sisyphos almost 9 years ago
Ah, Quilly! Just like a man: star-struck and helpless but for your sturdy girlfriend! Is this a vision of Things To Come?

I also like your response/picture, it leaves little to the imagination.

It wasn’t Prudence Luann had to worry about.

“Focus Like A Sailor” (though more towards the excitement as if it were shore leave, and not actually involving any “salty tongue”…)

See he’s adopting that NY attitude of “me first”…
greenearthman almost 9 years ago
That was my immediate thought. I’m just waiting for the subject of Prudence to come up.

Gregg- Please don’t let Luann be driving anything as mundane as a Toyota or Honda. This Subie girl would at least like to see an Impreza wagon.
