Why do the killers go to so much trouble?

I told ya! It was because Tracy ruined her play.

I see the canopy has been repaired. Now the engine cover is falling off.

This is the circus all over again: I killed that person so they wouldn’t rob me of the privilege of killing somebody.

Let’s not even talk about the horrible, deformed hand in Panel One.

Or that DT bendy doll in panel three…..

Flight Suit commented about the deformed hand in Panel 1.

Deformed hand? What about Anja Nu’s head? It’s shaped like a giant pns, topped off with a wig.

A circus, a concert, a play. What social event will Dick attend that will lead to so much drama and adventure?

How about a women’s mud-wrestling contest aboard the International Space Station? (Don’t forget your goggles.)

In my first post today that word that came out as “pns” isn’t supposed to be peanuts.

I wonder who’s going to shoot her?

I predict a baseball game. Bonnie Braids will convince Tracy that he needs to relax and a baseball game is the place to go for a fun day.

Best jokes are bad jokes. Grew up in a punning household. Also in a dual ethnic neighborhood where we all passed around the latest bad jokes. No on ever got mad, just tried to come up with a better, more ridiculous one to top the last one.

Because they haven’t bothered to read the Evil Overlord List. Some excerpts:

How is he standing on that wing without the plane tipping over? It’s supported by that wire thing in the middle. The weight of someone on the wing would throw the whole thing off balance.

Getting 2 predictable if u ask me!

By late next week perhaps the Chief will show up and wonder if all this is part of the play.

Again one of my predictions turns out to be wrong! A couple of days ago I posted: “I predict Anja Nu will now explain she shot Johnny Nothing to keep him from depriving her of the pleasure of shooting Tracy herself” but now the truth comes out – she only shot Johnny Nothing to keep him from depriving her of the pleasure of killing Tracy FIRST! Apparently she doesn’t mind if Johnny Nothing kills him too, as long as she gets to kill him FIRST. What was that slogan? Oh yes: “Phantasmagoria is Plausibility.”

Now we see what happened to Tracy’s hairdo. While he was gathering up all the fragments of the canopy and gluing them back together he got some glue on his hands, and then his hair started getting into his eyes, so … it all makes sense now!

But isn’t there a rule about how many panels in a row Tracy can show his eyeballs?

In the circus adventure there were a large number of conspirators who all wanted to murder the ringmaster and all kept killing each other to save him for themselves. That was stoopid. Using the same stoopid plot device again is even stoopider. Having a whole string of them again would be stoopider yet – therefore I predict that’s what Locher will do, since he always chooses the stoopidest plot twist anyone could think of. He has no other characters prepared but that won’t stop him – it will make it even stoopider. Stoopidity is Unpredictability!

It’s gonna be hard for her to shoot that stick figure in panel 3.

Notice the thickness/height of Tracy’s HAIR compared to yesterday ! - Now half the size ! - Must be a “crop from the prop” - after passing his head under the propeller dodging bullets (?)

There was some excellent verse by ’wndrwrthg’ on the Brenda Starr board a couple days ago concerning his views on the “right of comment”. Some one must have complained as it was ‘scrubbed’. For the life of me I can’t understand why (?) It never targeted any poster here. BUT it’s recommended reading. See it on the Yahoo DT board :

Perhaps this is the result of HIM ‘working too hard’ every day (as a colleague told me), Here we have an Author starved for ’IDEAS’ and MOTIVES, desperately ’RECYCLING’ rediculous/questionable stuff already used. And less than a year ago ! (?)

And the ‘weakness’ and ‘oddity’ doesn’t even occur to him OR, – he just doesn’t give one shoot ! And this is the man who says he is not about to RETIRE (in his recent interview) “It won’t tell him, He’ll tell it !

Luckily, for Dick Tracy and the reading public - it’s TMS that calls the shots

Anju Nu is about to get shot by Sam Catchem for not being utilitzed in any capacity in this strip for years, and now is trapped in the role of Arts Reviewer…he doesn’t want to kill Tracy THIRD…

i wonder who will shoot anja so that they can kill spacy first.

Tracy should just pop, “jack-in-the-box” back into the cockpit with the newly repaired canopy. I doubt that Anja is agile enough to follow him, plus she’d have to go down to get the axe. This would give Sam time to wake up from his doze and go looking. Maybe someone heard the shot, huh? Isn’t there a guard in this museum? I would sure like to see “Agile Anja” try to leap to the wing, axe in one hand and pistol in the other, and fall to the floor, thus killing herself and relieving Tracy and friends from having to take action.

She’s mad at Tracy & Nothing because they ruined her play. She wanted to shoot Tracy first, then Nothing, but Nothing got in the way so she had to do him first. Poor baby.

Meanwhile,what about Sam? Will he wake up in time to see the grand finale? And poor Liz. Will she ever find true love in back of a paddy wagon? And what about Anja herself? Is her hate for Dick so great that it has caused her to shoot Blank,the only man she truly ever loved? And the poor dead guy. Will anyone remember to embalm him?

I’m betting Liz shoots Anja Nu in the back tomorrow. Or Sam Catchem. Or the audience. Or even the blank with his dying breath. Anybody but Dick Tracy. They should change the title to “Police Chief Liz”

Chief Liz is one slow lady…..I’m betting on Sunday she’ll finally gun down the overly verbose Anja Nu, shooting her at least six time in the back.

Why does Macy have so many enemies? Granted he goes from episode to episode fouling the air, but it looks like he’s got a pattern going. If that is the same suit he’s been wearing home, I’m surprised Tess hasn’t beat them all to shooting him

i vote next for a soccer game, that will end with an exciting tie after only 12 and a half hours of play or a cricket match

Another GREAT week of Dick Tracy strips. Just about the most popular strip out there.

With an exciting Holiday weekend edition to look forward too, it should be another fun 4th of July weekend.

I’m beginning to wonder if there’s anybody who doesn’t want to shoot Tracy. Hey, Sam, hand me that phone book, will ya? There must be SOMEBODY in there who doesn’t want to kill Tracy.
