No one wants to go to jail

That escalated quickly.

Lynn’s Notes:

For a while, I organized the schedules for performers interested in touring northern Manitoba. I would go to an event in Winnipeg called “Contact”, where performers would showcase their work and arrange with people like myself to go to remote communities. By scheduling them into several towns at a time, we were able to get some wonderful shows into the north; dance, magic, bands, and theatre delighted everyone — and I got to meet and get to know some of the people we hosted.

How pleasant to hear an officer nicely ask a question and say “ma’am”.

You know that’s not at all what this obsessive person meant…

The policeman was courteous, so Elly getting arrested would be counterproductive. She would give the impression of being an instigator, which would probably alienate citizens from her issue.

Nice to see a clown with a concertina. I thought that was mainly a European thing, but I have to admit I’ve never been to the circus in Canada.

Which way is Elly facing in the third panel? It looks like she’s turned her head almost all the way around!
