If anyone is looking for Luann, she’s at Blondie and Dagwood’s Hallowe’en party, along with Charlie Brown, Jeremy from “Zits”, Elly from “For Better or For Worse” and a lot of others…

So ditch those complicated costumes and grab a burlap sack and newspapers.

It’s SO nice to see Shannan relaxed and smiling.

Such a change from where she started from!

Actually those costumes are very creative. They are inexpensive and easy to make. They would make for a much more memorable Halloween especially if the kids were involved in making them. Much better than another store bought commodity item.

Okay. Let ME Fix This. The “Child” will come as a Fattening Food, Brad will come as a Trusting Sap, and Old Smiley will come as a Career Criminal that just about Everybody Defends because “They” say it’s Society’s Fault."

gary13-same story here, all work picks up in the Fall. Evans gang not the least bit fazed by negativity, fans come in all shapes, sizes and sounds. Paul McCartney in town recently. Heard someone say “overrated.” Smile, move on.

I’m just waiting for a certain poster to unleash a string of F-bombs at someone he doesn’t like (again) and get banned (again)

Meanwhile, back to the funnies. Maybe Shannon can go as a sack of potatoes, and Brad can go as Dan Quayle.

As an actor, Jonah should be able to help Shannon come up with a somewhat better costume than the sack. However, the whole point of the holiday is for the kids to have their own fun no matter what the adults think, so if she enjoys wearing a sack, she should go for it!

Despite all the whiz-bang gimmickry of modern-day movie robots like the Transformers, my favorite remains Robby the Robot from the 1956 film Forbidden Planet. (As you may know, the movie is an outer-space adaptation of “The Tempest”, and Robby’s character is based on the magic spirit Ariel.) The original Robby is now in a private collection, but I saw it once at a horror-movie convention.

If you can identify them all you get ‘art appreciation’ credit and an A+ from Dr. Zebo..No Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck. Guess they don’t want to get sued by Disney Corp.

This Sunday we had some plot / story (and not an in-joke that made no sense to the readership)..Wonderful ! !.It was this Sunday’s ZITS that did the standard, zero content, “clean up your room” routine that has been lamented here in the past.

Majyck Toad said,@LDoverthat is correct. same thing happened to the person that created the original lighthearted meme “hampster dance”: she used the Disney-owned whistle-stop willy tune, and they sued her.-—————————————————-I believe in copyrights and patents, and actually have both..However Disney has lobbyists and scads of lawyers—even members of Congress—that have put their corporate holdings above those previously recognized.

I read Luann in my morning paper and in stopping by here, I am astounded by the gathering of loons, perverts and just plain nutzos that gather on her page to ‘comment’ (if one can describe thus and such) but WHY? Is it because she sits down to pee, is a common-grade teenager and has a messy room? Good lord, Greg and wife have struggled over the years to entertain us with the foibles of BEING a teen-ager, and yet it gets ‘commented’ into oblivion by the above sorts who ‘know better’ and can ‘snerk’ the previous ‘snerker’ by twelfth. Give it up, folks, it’s only a cartoon, not a Continuing Drama on the Hallmark Channel !

I think we may be mixing up two separate incidents in which a poster was banned: Joel and Dave53. (Those were two incidents, right?) I don’t remember the Dave53 offense, but I do recall Joel’s use of the F-word numerous times in the tirade that got him kicked off.

Going Trick-or-Treating as a potato sounds dangerous. The adults may think you’re a healthy-eating activist and give you only bananas and boxes of raisins.

Okay, the Bernice/Piro story line was about as weak as my failing modem. Let’s hope that the Evans’ launch crew can catapult a winner off the flight deck this Monday. Rosa returns to find Gunther and Tiffany together in her room. Or Crystal finds Viper trying to lure Knute into her web of darkness. How about Mr. Gray and his own potentially dark history?

You know what… all of the four or five of you who bicker and gripe and complain about each other here damn near every day… I truly do find ALL of each of your posts about THE LUANN COMIC to be interesting and valuable… But, as I suspect most others here feel, your daily bickering and sniping at each other is tiresome as he’ll. When I come to Luann on this site and see there are a bunch of comments, I start out excited thinking there will be a lot of great commentary. But, more often than not lately half the comments are just the four or five of you being purposefully annoying to each other. It is getting really old. Please grow up and get over this petty “Jr high” bickering and squabbling. Live and let live.

Thanks, I don’t think I remember having seen “Take It from the Tinkersons” before so I wouldn’t have known that.
