    Blimey, we might even find a use for the word OF and use phrases like all of them pirates and all of us. Alas, they may not see the humour in all of this, I guess we’ll go drown our sorrows in drinks held in aluminium cans.

    Tickety Boo? No-one says that anymore. “Bloomin’ ’eck” is a circumlocution for “Bloody Hell”. And do you know what ‘knackered’ really means? It does depend on derivation. Stick to what you know.

    When I watch BBC World News on the telly/TV, I cringe everytime I hear the word ‘power’ pronounced POW-eh. Then I found that’s the pronunciation given in the Oxford English Dictionary. Even a pirate would say POW-errrrr.
