Chances Holly is going to blame Kirbee for the increased Topsider activity is probably around 27 to 2.

Sooner or later, they’re going to figure out that Clive has that beacon I’ve been talking about for several strips now.

Which prompts me to wonder if they’re going to figure out how to remove it and use it as a decoy?

MUTT, MUTT, MUTTMUTT, MUTT, MUTTMUTT, MUTT, MUTTMUTT, MUTT, MUTTMUTT, MUTT, MUTTMUTT, MUTT, MUTTNothing MUTTERs any more.

One hopes that our favorite mousie remains silent and frozen in fear.

Why do the bad guys always want brains? ;-)

I predict that Holly didn’t wake up in time to hear Wally telling them to keep still. I predict that she’ll go into panic mode and start screaming which will alert the mutts.

All was fine until Holly tripped one of the Mutts!

It’s pretty evident the Topsiders want Clive. The question is why? This also brings up whatever it is our intrepid gang is walking towards. That is evidently something the Topsiders are familiar with and may be the source of the MUTTs.The only other option I may hazard a guess at is that it too is hidden by dittos and only visible to them because both ditto groups are communicating.

Evidently the Topsider’s are still oblivious to dittos.

Nice comment about using spatial illusion. The MUTT that bumped into Holly’s heel may have determined it was touching the MUTT on the other side of the group.

Do mutts capture or do they only kill? I’m picturing Kirbee saving Holly……………………….

can they plant their brain in a jar in one of those mutts or is the hardware designed to rob it of its free will?

Mice are pretty good at freezing when in danger. Except I had a mouse who ran straight into a cat’s open mouth. Don’t run into their hands Holly.

Holly can see the mutt/mutts. She knows enough to do anything rash. She is a smart mouse/woman.

And I’m betting that decoy is going to look an awful lot like Holly screaming and running in warp speed.

The Topsiders may not care about abandoned PTs, but Clive wasn’t abandoned. He was removed from the vehicle and carried around. That would indicate to the Topsiders that the passengers or technology are in enemy hands (or paws or tentacles) and can be used against them. They’ll want to find them and destroy them, if they can’t interrogate them first.

The mutts probably do hear them and are trying to find where the sounds are coming from but can’t because of the spacial illusion. If I were there, I’d be saying, “Boooo… BooOOOooooo…”

Sppoky. The shading and lights are very effective.

And once again the girl messes up things.They either fall behind while running, trip and fall spraining something, screaming when silence is needed, give away themselves taking a deep breath THEN covering their mouths, panic racing about in confusion, or stand still on the tracks while the train is coming at them……..(ha)

Be kind to your metal-legged friends. Every Mutt could be somebody’s brother.

I’m still going under the assumption that the Mutts are still cheap scouts who would either alert their masters to the mutants’ presence or capture them. They generally give me the impression of having much less intelligence than PTs. Presumably their plasticized brains have been lobotomized in order to make them unquestioningly obedient.

Now there’s something you don’t see every day, Chauncey.
