SO, two weeks gone and the assignment is due tomorrow?

That’s my boy!

If only this would teach him a lesson….

I think Calvin is preparing full well for adult life: preparing everything on time is boring, while the last minute provides excitement and increases productivity. Notice the subtle approach to mom…!

To think I used to be that way.

This part of Calvin reminds me of myself now, just a little too closely for comfort.

this is so much like my grandson with his school assignments.

It’s nearly too late for doing the work and you disturbe your Mom!!

Funny how coasting down an ever steepening hill ends up with a brief moment of realization based terror just before the crash.

What more can we expect out of a career first grader?

Calvin wouldn’t do this if he got a spanking once in a while.

I would’ve been up the Creek without a Paddle, and the Canoe would’ve had a major hole in it, if I had pulled that on My Mom! Will Calvin’s Mom bail him out?

1) Let him fail the assignment, 2) ask Miss Wormwood to call Mom with daily homework assignment 3) teach Calvin’s parents how to be parents.

20 minutes? That’s how long it takes for a pizza to be checked on.

Just send him outside. There are lots of trees around.

Calvin is a bird watcher?

actually, some of this mess is on Calvin’s parents. When I was his age my mom made sure she knew what homework I was assigned so I could do it, this project has been on Calvin’s table for a month and his parents didn’t know anything about it. Given Calvin’s habits of shirking responsibility and not doing assignments they really should be in the habit of taking a look at Calvin’s books when he gets home to make sure he does his assignments.

Well, I’m sorry to say this but it’s his own fault if Miss Wormwood comes up with her most severe punishment.

Which will be?

The mother needs to get her priorities in order! The child’s life is of much greater importance then a mere meal!

I guess I’m being even more obscure than usual! Pishing is a technique fir attracting small birds. (I used to watch a Canadian birdwatching program “Twits and Pishers.”)

Mom: Lack of planning on your part does not make for an emergency on my part..Calvin: Where is the colored construction paper?

Oh, and I need 4 dozens cookies for school tomorrow…

Time flies even faster when you are wasting it…
