Tess is saying these things because nobody bothered to tell her what really went down, and she’s too delusional to have figured it out on her own. Dick is sitting there silently thinking his replies because he feels too much contempt for the woman to actually engage her in conversation.

Dick sure healed up fast didn’t he?

He was ‘motivated’ all right, motivated by extreme cowardice.

Who is that woman in the first panel? Nothing is what it seems.

Would the homeless guy we first saw in Sunday’s strip have anything to do with the missing tycoon in the papers yesterday and today?

That’s one stiff newspaper.

The homeless person is the missing tycoon. Let’s move on to the next story.

I think the bum is the actor who was shot on stage (see yesterday’s comments).

I’m gradually compiling a list of Locher’s slogans … what have I got so far that fits today’s strip? … um … TALK IS ACTION … that fits … DELAY IS SUSPENSE – that’s an even better fit … REPETITION IS … um … what is repetition? Pacing? Yes, let’s go with REPETITION IS PACING.

“I’m a little teapot short and stout…” All kidding aside, today’s depiction of Tess makes Anja Nu look good.

Tracy gets the home edition of the paper which has a different masthead than the ones on the newsstand. The home edition just has one block on each side of the Sun name rather than two on each side and the Sun name is centered.

Macy goes straight to the comics page to get his daily fix of Fearless Fuzdick to further his “continuing education”, as required by the Naperville PD.

Tess was at the show? I thought she was in hiding at Junior’s while they investigated rocks and signs?

And, she seems to striking a pose a la Vogue…

Tracy reads the paper with his tie on. No wonder people keep pestering him to relax.
