Wizard of Id by Parker and Hart for October 25, 2015

So this is where all the leaf blower stuff started…

Bear in mind that back in those days (medieval times, where the Wizard of Id and Hagar the Horrible supposedly lived!), your wife (or husband) was chosen FOR you by your family; whether you liked her (him) OR NOT! Truly a Lose-Lose proposition! The motivation was usually money or prestige (such as it was, anyway!). And so don’t expect any love in a medieval marriage; chances are, it wouldn’t be there!

I have zero trees in my yards. BUT I keep getting leaves from the neighbors. I just wait until the wind blows them away.

If you don’t have a say in who you marry, you don’t have a say in getting out of it. I wouldn’t call that “success.”

Before the environmental laws kicked in, wizards could use their dragons to burn the leaves.

Why has it taken this long to find out there are two (2) wizards in Id when the title indicates but one (1). Are they the Dagwood and Herb of Id? Inquiring minds WANT to know!

My lawn wizard makes it all disappear for 20.0

Raking up leaves is dumb anyway. But the religion of lawns is just too powerful for people to recognize that the land will be better off if you allow them to stay there.

Skulker, arranged marriages have a better success rate only by the definition of lower divorce. But are they actually HAPPY? Their cultures give women very limited powers (choices) and in some of those cultures, the man is allowed (under certain circumstances) to destroy or even kill the wife. So I wouldn’t be too quick to tout their successes.

While it is true mulching leaves and allowing them to decompose naturally can be beneficial to a lawn, just as in human life, too much of anything is not always good…

Aren’t these fellows wizards? Why don’t they just make the leaves disappear?

Don’t blow them, zap them.
