JJ: Mike, who is Marcia Feinbloom? Mike: Our receptionist at the agency. Why do you ask? Letter: Ms. Marcia Feinbloom is happy to announce she is calling off the search for Mr. Right and invites you to a celebration of her singularity. JJ: What do you make of it? Mike: Marcia's closing in on 40. She's been threatening to do this for some time. Ceremony, vows, the works! JJ: Vows? Like, with a minister? Mike: No, just a bartender. But they'll still be sacred.

Is the bartender ordained?

Read it again. It is not a marriage ceremony, so it doesn’t matter if the bartender is ordained or a notary. It is the Celebration of her Singularity—no groom involved. Sort of like getting an official unmarried old maid certificate celebration.

Didn’t Marcia have a brief relationship with Zonker? His only ever?

Just have someone bless the wine, and she can have communion with herself. Bar peanuts will have to do for the wafer.

Pretend like it’s your choice.Better for the ego.It IS your choice?Nobody not already married measures up?Not planning on taking the Frankenstein route, creating the perfect man from inferior origins?

Cute idea.

Lots of 40 something singles don’t let it bother them now, and find a match later. What’s the stats on a marriage lasting anyhow? Less than 50%? Why make the wedding industry, who do it up, and the lawyer industry, who tear it apart, richer?

I think not, Mike.

What? Are these two living together now or something? When did that happen?

You to, Marcia. For decades we’ve been buying shower presents, wedding presents, bridesmaid dresses, baby shower gifts, christening gifts for other families— heck, I’ll give you a virtual toaster!

M*A*S*H Spoiler Alert!...............Anybody else reminded of the Tokyo bartender that married Charles Winchester and a nurse in one M*A*S*H episode?

@Argy—-The invitation clearly states Singularity, which means no groom, which means it is not necessary for an ordained minister or a notary. As Mike stated—possible vows & ceremony for the celebration, but no groom means no notary or minister required. I stand by my original comment.
