Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
âHe made many enemies on his way to his billionare statusâ Okay letâs get warrants for Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniac, no wait that would only work if Bill gates were missing.
Naperville is quiet the storybook land. POLICE, SCIENCE MUSEUM, etc. What else would we find if we traveled its streets with its conveniently labeled buildings?
BANK, CAFE, FIREHOUSE must be there. But what about CRACK DEN, WHOREHOUSE, or NO TELL HOTEL? Maybe thereâs HOUSE ON CORNER WITH DEAD BODIES BURIED IN BASEMENT or SECOND BENCH FROM LEFT IN PARK FOR RUSSIAN SPIES TO PASS OFF INFORMATION or LOVE NEST APARTMENT OF FAMILY VALUES POLITICIAN.
When you come to the outer limits of Naperville you might find OPEN GRAVE READY TO BURY DICK TRACY STRIP.
I donât think Panel Two is supposed to be the sign on the POLICE HOOTERS building; I think itâs the name plate on Lizâs desk. The Mayor had it installed to remind her of her job after she and her entire force sat in their seats for three weeks with a dead body on stage.
Why, oh why is this entire strip drawn in extreme close-ups?? Any closer and weâll be looking up their noses. Good god, this thing is an embarrassment.
Anyone recall in the 60âs when Dick Tracy had its own âstrip within a stripâ called Sawdust? It was supposed to be a comic strip drawn by five artists who each contributed their own specks.
I assume Gould meant it as a satire on the then-current state of the comics. If only he had known that 40 years later his own beloved creation would be reduced to the same sort of pathetic joke.
SighâŠPLEASE canât the syndicate employ a decent writer and artist?? The guys from ANNIE are freeâŠ
Only with the Dick Tracy strip would the artist need to constantly remind the readers that these are Police weâre watching. Certainly the plots and action donât give any clue.
Hmmmm, guy bleeding on stage. I vaguely recall something about an actor being shot. But I must be wrong. Locher and Brozman wouldnât leave a GAPING PLOTHOLE / BLATANT LOOSE END like that behind, would they?

Other than the absurd sign, the graphics seems to have improved.
