Arizona doesn’t observe it, so I never have to readjust my sundial!

That was three weeks ago, wasn’t it? I’m in AZ; as mentioned, Barry Goldwater didn’t want anything to do with that Commie plot, to get the schoolkids up an hour earlier, so they would be more susceptible to their propoganda.

I don’t know why we don’t just leave the clocks alone and do everything an hour earlier or later according to the season.

Couldn’t they just re-label the rocks representing the hour? You know… like how you could change from summer hours to winter hours if it were advantageous and sensible for you to do so.

Back when dst was implimented, people kept day shift hours(for the most) and this did help. We now live in a 24/7 world, so it really doesn’t make that much difference. The schools and businesses in town could just go to summer hours, as they chose. Farmers get up with the sun anyway

Getting up at 2 am and changing the clock isn’t so bad, but after I change the batteries in both smoke detectors I’m wide awake.

I’m with FlagMichael’s son-in-law. In a global economy, moving everyone to GMT would make sense. Plus we could then celebrate New Years and go out to dinner afterward.

i share the consensus, if you’re not a farmer (and a farmer who doesnt know how to move his schedule back) then what on earth does moving the clock back or forward accomplish in 2015?
