Petaluma? That’s where the arm wrestling championship takes place!

Babboo! Zamboni! Petaluma!

Petaluma? Isn’t that where the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm is located?

There’s trembling and fear in Oakland tonight!

Schulz lived just north of there, in Santa Rosa.

Charles Schultz lived just north of Petaluma in Santa Rosa. Petaluma was also known as the chicken capitol years ago

Snoopy’s Home Ice and The Charles Schultz Museum is in Santa Rosa.

Even in reruns, Peanuts is still more engaging and charming than just about any current comic strip.

I remember when the word “Petaluma” was first mentioned sometime last year and half the comments were “What/Where is Petaluma?”

I know because I was one of them.

When I lived in Santa Rosa I visited Petaluma many times – also drove through it on all my trips down to Sausalito (which my wife absolutely loved – when she wasn’t making me take her over to Bodega Bay). A great area in which to live, and I had NO idea then that those were going to be “the good old days”.

Avant-garde composer Harry Partch wrote a piece called “When the Petals Fell in Petaluma.”
